Song: "Devastated" By
FYC
Mood: Freaking out!
Time: 12:38PM
Weather: HOT!
AHHHH! Okay so I am by MYSELF! This is my first day on my own at Gateway (ticketbooth) and so not with ANYONE. I am freaking out. I am doing well and all....plus as you can imagine, I am not THAT busy, but I am all alone....no one here at all. AHHH! I was promised this would not happen. When I walked in, Jonathan (a fellow trainee mind you) was here by himself-he opened and was by himself with me coming in to help. HA! So then he left me and went to lunch...thanks yo. So funny.
I am confused....<.giggle> This is actually pretty weird that I am doing this on my own...it is a hard thing to do....I think...and it IS going well, but just weird. I just wish someone would come.
So yea....freaking out...did I already mention that? <.grin> AHHHH!
SO my pal Emily did a cd review for FYC and you can view it at the GSU Signal Website and click on URBANITE. Check it out! Thanks Emily. You rock!
Oh thank goodness...Ann AND Jonathan just walked in! whoo hoo! Later dudes!

Song: "Ordinary Day" By Vanessa Carlton
Mood: Pretty darn well!
Time: 9:46AM
Weather: Sunny, yet cold!
Yesterday was pretty good. I was on the phones by myself for the first day. Not too bad. I did talk to some VIP people, which was exciting...kinda nerve-racking but it went well, or so it seemed. <.grin> I worked on the phones from 12ish till 9ish and boy did my ear hurt. Of course I had breaks and whatnot, but still...it was crazy...never thought I would dislike being on the phone and computer for that amount of time. <.grin>
Last night was a blast. Jordan, Jonathan, Juliet, Julie, Jane, Joe (geez, all J's) and I went to JellyRolls and I ran into Kevin Barry Snoga <.grin> He is so adorable. Good stuff seeing him! Also, we saw a lot of our GR peeps so it was cool to run into them again! Good times. After JellyRolls, Jonathan and I chatted a bit and then ran into more GR people in the parking lot. Figures, yea? They are my neighbors, but I never see them hardly.
So, today I am working again doing the same thing as yesterday...but tonight I can't play too much because tomorrow I have an earlier shift. <.saddness> Ah well! I will get a break pretty soon...I have Friday and Saturday off and I am gonna use that time wisely. Yay!
Talk at ya'll later!

Song: "Bring Down the Stars" By
FYC
Mood: Great!
Time: 9:17AM
Weather: Sunny, but that can be deceiving!
Yesterday was a good day as a whole. All our computer systems were down, so that was a major bummer. Couldn't do a whole heck of a lot of stuff, but we managed. Made us actually consider what we did before we had computers...really don't want to ever go back to that though.
No large problems yesterday either, which makes me happy. I helped out a lot of people and that makes me feel good! I am always so happy when we find lost stuff for the guests, but sometimes we don't get some items, and it is such a sad thing to have to tell them. They always look SO disappointed and it sucks. I know it's not my fault, but I feel like it is.
The closing shift is kinda hard to work because it gets so tiresome....and you have to stay till everyone and I mean EVERYONE leaves the park....but today I am working a mid-shift so no closing for me. Just until 9PM. Yay!
Basically that is my life right now...work work work. I feel like I don't even have enough time to run errands, let alone actual go out and have fun...I did have a really good time this past weekend though, so I guess I can wait until this weekend as well! <.grin>
If you are at GSU, make sure to pick up a copy of the Urbanite for this week (I think it comes out on Wednesday or Thursday) because FYC is featured in it! <.grin> WHOO HOO! Save me a copy yo!
Laters All! <.grin>

Song: "Hollywood Ending" By
FYC
Mood: Great!
Time: 10:50AM
Weather: Kinda nice out...very sunny!
To catch up on the last couple of days....Saturday was really fun! We went on our Discovery Days at Epcot and got a very informative tour from Glen! He is a VIP tour guide and very impressing! He knew lots of cool facts and stuff that we can tell the guests! <.grin> Doug went with us and took pics of us the entire time...kinda funny...like we were in a photo shoot or something. Like we were actually VIPs...it was cool.
Came home and got ready for the block party at our villas. Craig, Jordan, Jen, and Jen's two friends, Jonathan, Leslie, and Becca and I ventured off to meet knew people. I met MAYBE two new people, but there were TONS of interns there...guess I am just not very social. I did get to meet Lilo AND Stitch though <.grin> That was the more important thing I guess.<.giggle>
We all got ready to go see I-4 at Borders. It was fun....it was gonna be their last show for awhile so I am glad I went. They actually sang Morning Sun which I was kind of surprised about, but they did a good job of it though. Jason met us there and it was so good to see him again! <.grin> After that we came back to the villa and hung out! Fun stuff. It was a very good night. My roommates were freaking hilarious. I swear they have never been more random or more funny. They are crazy <.grin> Gotta love 'em!
So, yesterday I was at the lobby for the first time by myself and it went surprisingly well. I didn't do any screwups...not major ones anyways <.grin> and all the guests were pleased with my help. I didn't have any major situations though so perhaps that will come and then really make my day unhappy, but so far so good! yay! <.grin> Today I work again...closing! Not so bad, but then I have mid shifts the rest of the week so that is good.
This weekend is what I am really looking forward to so I can't wait!<.grin>
Stop by Fifth Year Crush's website because they have a really cool contest going on and everyone should participate! It seems like a really fun thing! <.grin>

Song: "Long Day" By Matchbox Twenty
Mood: Good!
Time: 6:35 in da freakin' AM
Weather: SO COLD! SO COLD!
The past couple of days have been so much fun! I finished my training and "checked-out" which basically means I passed an informal knowledge test of my area and info that I need to know. Whoo hoo!
I had some nice refreshments the past couple of days....yesterday Jonathan made me breakfast...SO good! He made pancakes with syrup melted with butter (YUMMY) and eggs with ham and cheese. SO good! Then, I spent two hours at Midas trying to get an estimate for my car...which I did get so that was good.
Then, did laundry and ran errands....then Craig, Tye, Jonathan, Will, Jane, Juliet, and I went to the Hoop-de-do Review dinner show last night to get some property knowledge and it was SO much fun! You pay a set amount and then get all the food, drinks, and Sangreia you want. SO GOOD...needless to say, we all walked out of there a bit happier. <.grin> It doesn't take much for me or the other girls so we were having a good time! We were even honorary bus drivers (our Eeyore-sounding bus driver back to the parking lot from the Pioneer Hall LOVED us!) <.grin>!
SO, now I am up at this horrible hour to attend my Discovery Day at Epcot where I learn more about the park and everything. Today should be a fun day. After work, we are having a block party to get to know all the advanced interns, then we are all going to see I-4! WHOO HOO! Fun stuff!

Song: "Pretty Baby" By Vanessa Carlton
Mood: Not too bad!
Time: 9:16AM
Weather: Think it might rain...getting chilly too...what's up wit dat yo?
Work was good yesterday. I was in the lobby for my second day there. Dealt with some guests all on my own. It felt good. Although I still think I need some practice in the ticketing system...it's a rough thing to learn, but it's all good.
We ate lunch with Jordon and Ben. Good times. I hadn't seen Jordon in awhile. Saddness. We are all getting plans together to hopefully attend the Hoop-de-do dinner show here at Disney for tomorrow. Sounds almost like a plan.
So last night, we did the viewing for the Illuminations fireworks preformance and it was a blast! Craig, Jen, and Lisa along with their friends were there! It was cool to see Jen again! Whoo hoo! We are all gonna go see I-4 on Saturday night so I can't wait!
Tomorrow is finally another day off for me so I am excited, although I can't really sleep in too much cause I have lots of errands to run (like to Midas for my car-ugh!).
Today is my very last day of training, which kind of makes me nervous. I feel like I know a lot, but not everything and I would like to know everything before I am by myself, but what can you do....
Saturday we tour Epcot then on Sunday it's all me baby! By myself in the lobby for two days then working in dining reservations for two days then at Gateway window. Exciting stuff! Can't wait! I guess...<.grin>
It shall be good though.

Song: "Nightingale" By Norah Jones
Mood: Very good
Time: 10:15AM
Weather: Again a very sunny and cold day!
Yesterday was quite exciting being my first real day at work. My trainer is Juliet and she rocks! She is so sweet and really knows her stuff. I had a lot of guest interaction yesterday and that made me really happy to be doing my job! <.grin>
It was a lot of stuff to go through yesterday being the first day, but it seems all good so far. Today we are gonna be at Gateway (a booth near the back entrance of the park), but we get to go on a World Showcase tour, so I am excited about that as well!
After work last night, I went over to Jonathan's for dinner. He made quesadilla's with corn, then apples and peanut butter for desert. Yum! <.grin> Sounds like a very college like meal, doesn't it? <.giggle> So very good though. Then, we hung out with his roomies listening to Disney music and show tunes...including broadway music as well! It was relaxing...good times.
My roomies were watching Crossroads when I came home, so of course had to join in on the fun of that one! <.grin>
I got some really exciting news in finding out my schedule yesterday so I was so happy! I hope it works out like it says...cause if it does I will be very happy very soon...but not sure so I can't tell yet! <.grin> Don't want to make any promises that I can't keep. So we shall see!
Anyways....I am so excited cause I got in touch with my high school teacher that really influenced me a lot and helped me become way more confident in my role as a leader and as an employee. She was my FBLA leader and teacher and I finally got her email and she replyed! So good to hear from her! I miss her!
Today, I have to run some errands than head off to work. Fun stuff. I don't think I get a day off for awhile....they like to trick you here by giving you three nice days off and then make you work a lot to earn more days off <.grin> just kidding. I just know that on saturday (my scheduled day off) we have Discovery Days at Epcot...so we shall see! <.grin> Anyways talk at ya'll later!

Song: "Come with me" By Norah Jones
Mood: Happy
Time: 9:37AM
Weather: Very Sunny outside!
Yesterday I had just planned on resting at home, but Jonathan called and wanted me to go with him to Sam's Club so....we went shopping. We went to Marshalls and had a ball making fun of some of the items for sale there. We had to ask ourselves several times, "Why this was $2 instead of free or in the trash" So bad! <.grin>
Then, we went into Snooze you lose shop...very interesting store. The prices get marked down every week and then if no one buys it by a certain time, it gets donated to charity and these are some auction type pieces that are expensive, but it was fun to browse!
Jonathan was running a little late and it was getting dangerously close to being time for him to go to church so I said I would go with him. Although we were dressed in jeans and shirts, it seemed okay cause it was a tourist church anyways. He is Catholic..so we went to the Mary Queen Shrine that is right off I-4. It was so pretty in there. It was nice to go with him. We saw his villa neighbors and sat with them. They sang a few songs I knew (different tunes though) and I really loved it when they said "Hail Mary" (or something like that) cause it was from the movie Sister Act and Jonathan and I, being the nuts that we are...did the movie version a bit. <.giggle> It was fun!
He said he is going with me next week to find my Lutheran church. He wants to discover what it's like too and since I went with him, he has no problem going with me. <.grin> So it shall be fun...my roomie wants to go too....I hope we all get next Sunday morning off. We shall see.
After that we went to Wendy's and then back to his villa for hot chocolate. SO yummy. His neighbors came over and we had fun making up our own drinks...Steve, Jonathan's roomie had some creme de mint drink, so we added milk and named it "kissing juice" cause it made your breath so nice you wanted to kiss someone. We wanted to add chocolate syrup, but no one had any. Darn! That would have been SO good...like mint chocolate chip ice cream....but in a drink format!
Anyways...so today I go to work. Jonathan and I are the only ones from our group that have a semi-similar schedule so we are carpooling again. We are all carpooling fools <.grin> so it should be a fun and exciting day!

Song: "Don't Know Why" By Norah Jones
Mood: Good
Time: 10:10AM
Weather: Beautifully sunny, but freezing!
Well, yesterday was fun! Jonathan, Jordan and I went to Animal Kingdom to play and get property knowledge! We checked out the Tarzan ROCKS! show and Jim got us VIP seating so I could get a great view to video tape the show! SO good! Juan was the singer and after the show, we went to eat at Pride Rock...and Juan was there as well. Oops. <.grin> He so saw me....yikes! <.giggle>
We rode Dinosaur, then saw Jeff and Kenny at Primevil Whirl, then went on the Safari...so much fun! I saw Anna at Restaurantosaurus. YAY! Then, tried to find Brett and Kevin, but with no luck. Ah well! I ate a frozen banana (which I MISSED SO MUCH) and then we took the train to what was known as Conservation Station, but now Rafiki's Planet Watch!
After walking around a lot, we were beat. I had gotten a call from B saying they were in town, WHOO HOO! So, I came back to the villa and Beth and Rach came to visit!
We watched the video I made of us playing putt-putt the night before. SO funny. Then, B and Rach and I went to dinner at Bongos. So nice to hang out with them again! Good friends! Then, we went to Virgin to check out the sale. Good times!
Was awoken early today by the engineering people to fix our TV....so I am up and ready to go. Have the day off again, so it's nice to catch up on emails and errands. Then, tomorrow starting back at work again! Fun stuff!

Song: "Shoebox" By
FYC
Mood: Tired
Time: 1:53PM
Weather: Wind makes it a bit "brrr" but not too bad, VERY SUNNY!
Okay so...it's been awhile. Basically, today is my first official day off. WHOO HOO! I have been working nine days straight for training and yesterday was my first time wearing my costume on-stage. Very exciting stuff.
The past few days, Doug (our trainer), has been showing us around and giving us a brief overview of the things we would be doing. We are learning a LOT about dining reservations and such. TOO much info going in...I hope most of it is sticking. I am really enjoying all the people though so that is good. I really love my role in the company. We are some of the most respected in the company so it's so exciting to be wearing a highly respected costume.
Funny though, people look at you different when you are wearing "the plaid". It's strange...and my group of people decided we are not gonna be the type of "plaid wearers" who feel we are better than anyone...but the clique we are joining sometimes do feel that way. We refuse! It is so weird to have people look at you like you are in a very high position though...don't think I can get used to it.
Yesterday was fun! I had to wake up at 5AM though to go to work, but after learning lots of cool things, we came home then joined up again to hit the town, for the first fun thing I have done since I started working. Jonathan, Jordan and his friend Joe, Jane, Tye, and I went to see The Lion King on IMAX at Pointe Orlando. I called David to see if he was working and it was SO good to talk to him. He wasn't working, but he said that he would give me a call soon, so hopefully we can hook up!
We went to eat at McDonalds and then to Fantasia Gardens for some minature golf. SO much fun! Those kids are hilarious! I enjoyed them! It was good times.
Nick called me the other day! WHOO HOO! He and Liz are gonna call me tonight to go see a movie and hang out! I am excited. It was so good to hear from him! Also, yesterday when walking out of the park, I ran into Ray from Blizzard Beach! He is in security now so it was so funny to randomly run into him! I was so excited to see him! I love seeing people I hadn't seen in awhile and just randomly see them again, it's so nice!
Basically, I have been working so hard that I don't know what to do with all this free time! I hate waiting on this stupid computer to TRY and speed up....but it is SO slow, so I tend to just go home and sit. I want to go do stuff but all my peeps are either working or sleeping. <.grin> I am so depressed. I LOVE living here and I LOVE my job, but I want to go see FYC, Big SKY, and I-4. Only I-4 are actually accessible to me now, because the others are in Atlanta. AND Grrr about that. How come when I move down to their homestate, they are always up in MINE. AH well! Makes me sad though.
I-4 is playing tonight and I would LOVE to go see them, but who to go with? Hmmm. Maybe I can convince Nick and Liz to make a stop after the movie? <.giggle> Nah...maybe next time then!
I have off the next couple of days then back to work again for me! I will try and keep up with updating this thing..I keep wanting to everyday, but I am too impatient. Ah well! It's just me!
If I don't get a chance to write in this tomorrow, I just wanted to send a shout out to my nephew....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVAN! I LOVE YOU
He will be five tomorrow and I miss him! I miss all my nephews and neice and wish I could be with ya'll to celebrate tomorrow, but a video is coming to ya.
Talk at ya'll kids later!

Song: "Last Night" By Justin Timberlake
Mood: GOOD!
Time: 5:28PM
Weather: Very Chilly out today!
Well, these past couple of days have been mucho fun! Kimber (our wonderful tour guide) is a blast! She had so many wonderful surprises for us...we are definitely spoiled! I can't believe all the things we get to do to learn and have fun...and get paid for it!
Today marked the last day of our property tour. We had very special VIP tours and exciting experiences! We got to have a wonderful character dining experience where Chip and Dale fought for me with Pluto (he petted me <.grin> ONLY okay if HE is doing it! <.giggle>), Goofy asked me to kiss his nose and then got all shy and cute <.ahhh>, Minnie hugged me, and we got pics with them all! SO much fun!
We took a tour of most of the resorts and the restaurants that are in them as well as at the parks for our reservation knowledge. Very fun stuff. Plus, we got to get a VIP tour of the rooms at the resorts as well! Very exciting!
Yesterday we had the best class "A Whole New World" and we basically got a chance to act like Kindergarteners again...SO much fun coloring and playing games while learning A LOT! Craig was great...our facilitator who rocked!
I forgot to mention before that it's an on-going joke of bathroom breaks being "biological opportunities" according to Bob so everywhere we go....we bring a piece of him with us...It stuck...I find myself saying it all the time now. <.grin>
Today was a blast...but tomorrow and the next day we will be learning ATS (our computer system) so it will be more of a classroom type setting and more serious, but Kimber is our leader again so no doubt it will be fun! Whoo hoo! She showed us her video tape of her clogging and doing a skit. SO CUTE! She's great!
I finally got a semi-fast computer just now so I am SO happy! I just can't deal with these slow computers!
I wanted to say that although I am really enjoying my work stuff...I have yet to do anything else cause I am so exhausted...I am literally "working" (although some might say playing) SO hard all day and then I come home and am so tired I go straight to sleep. I wake up at the HORRIBLE time of 6:30 in da AM to get to work and then have to come home just to do it all again the next morning, HOWEVER for the first time since I got here, I get to sleep IN tomorrow! WHOO HOO! BUT, the class is from 1-9:30 so that is kinda painful, but ah well! At least I can sleep the morning through...happiness! But, no going out for me! I am too tired...and apparently getting old to my roomies, who have 9-5 jobs and have the weekends off. I don't get a day off until Friday...that would mean 9 days straight for me...AHHH!
So...I really miss all my DAK and Summer roomies and buddies! I really want to go see BlueStone Circle and do all the fun things we had done before, but I am so tired...I am unmotivated and in actuality have NO ONE to do them with...all my new friends here are old like me and go to sleep at like 9. AH! I need a break...and I just started for heaven's sake! BUT...I do love it! So that helps...anyways I will chat more later! Did I mention that I love my job? I do! <.grin>

Song: "Why, Georgia, Why?" By John Mayer
Mood: GOOD!
Time: 7:01PM
Weather: Comfortable...kinda chilly with a breeze, but nice!
Well, Disney just makes me SO happy. Today was a full fun-filled day and I am still in training. Today was the first of our three-day property tour, which is Disney wide....all of Disney property will be covered by my two feet...or pretty much anyways. <.grin>
We are having a blast. My team of AI (Advanced Interns) for Epcot Guest Relations rule! They are so much fun! We carpooled today with Jonathon, Tye, and Alex. Jonathon is the cutest ever! He is so outgoing and friendly. I adore him! I really enjoy talking will all seven of them individually! I am finding out more about them everyday and I think we will all work really well together because despite all our differences, we are all the same it seems, in many ways.
Today we had many more surprises. Kimber was our tour guide and she is tons of fun! We started off our day at the Magic Kingdom before it opened. Then saw the grand opening of the park. FUN! We then headed off to our resorts...starting with the Contemporary where we got to see a room and tour the restaurants. It was so pretty viewing Disney property from the top floor of the Contemporary!
Then, we headed off to Epcot where we ate lunch in Morocco. Very pleasant! We watched a belly dancer and Jonathan do their thing in front of a small crowd! Very entertaining! <.giggle> It was a very interesting eating experience and a very enjoyable table conversation. <.grin> We rode Test Track and then Body Wars (ugh..kinda gross...travelling inside the human body, but since Tye used to work there, it was fun to see what he did everyday!)
After lunch, we left Epcot (fun just to travel to Epcot and Morocco of all places JUST to eat lunch...it's so nice to be VIP <.grin>) and then moved onto the Polynesian Resort, the Wedding Pavillan, and then to the Grand Floridian. I had never been at the Grand before cause I always thought I wasn't dressed well enough to even step foot in the deluxe hotel, but since I was dressed fairly well today, I had no hesitations. It was so nice! The piano player was in full speed jazzing up the atmosphere while the environment felt so relaxed and calming. I even chatted with a few guests. All were very friendly, despite my assumptions of Grand guests before stepping in and speaking with them. Very pleasant!
I learned a lot today about the parks and more information on how to help exceed our guest's expectations. I really think I am gonna love this job. I feel very fortuate to have been given this opportunity! It's gonna be great!
We got to see our lobby at Epcot and meet a couple of our very-near-future co-cast members and they seem really nice! I can't wait! Just two more days of the fun, but tiring property tour, then two days of ATS training then training into the field I go! Excitement! I just need to find time to rest more...this is wearing me out...all this fun AND learning! <.grin>
I really wanted to see I-4 tonight do their video, but "I'm not gonna make it! I'm not gonna make it!" (Sorry, Dinosaur moment! <.grin>) It's just TOO far away and I have to wake up early tomorrow...oh the sacrifices that I make...ah well! Tomorrow we have tons more surprises, so I am told! YAY!
I am getting more and more annoyed with these slow computers though, so you may not see me on here for a bit...I can't stand having to wait forever just to check my email and blog...so if you don't hear from me for awhile no worries! (Hakuna Matata! <.grin> Sorry...the pixie dust is getting to me! <.grin>) Later!

Song: "Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous" By Good Charlotte
Mood: Oh SO HAPPY!
Time: 7:03PM
Weather: Kinda warm <.grin>
Well..where in the world do I start? Maybe with DISNEY world! <.giggle> I crack myself up. Okay so I am a dork....is that news to anyone?
Well, it all started back on December 28th when Amy, Grace, and Lisa graced me with their presence in staying at my house. Yea so the topic of conversation basically consisted of bowel movements. FUNNY girls! I don't think I have laughed so hard in my life.
Around lunch time on the 29th we head off to meet Jess at her apartment to try to fit her AND her bag in my car. Yea, my car was pretty jammed packed, but it worked okay.
We had WAY too much fun with the two-way radios. "Yacht Rocket come in, this is Ruff Riders" <.giggle> Met some boys on the way down....kinda interesting. They stripped for us. We videotaped it <.giggle> Funny stuff. We had WAY too much fun with the signs..."Who would win? Fork or the Spoon?" <.grin> I think that was the best trip I have ever had down to Orlando.
So, we make it to O-town around 8ish. Had a nice time meeting Meg's roomies, Amber and Cathryn. Very nice gals that would would be imposing on for a week. They were fun! Spent many a times just relaxing in their groomed apartment watching "Ya Ya Sisterhood" movie-whatever it is called and just hanging out.
Our first night here we went to the Ale House and got interrupted of our good time by two "bama" boys who were annoying and one of which called me "thick." Yea, thanks! Grrr....turns out we ran into them a week later at the same Ale House. And guess who said hello? Ugh! Crazy people! Not rude entirely, just couldn't think of the RIGHT thing to say.
Did some tourist stuff like shopping at the outlet malls and such. We went and saw Blue Stone Circle and AJ was SO great! He flipped out that we were there. John was there as well and got off early and hung out with us the remainder of the night. Fun guy! This was the first night that Michael and Dave actually talked to us like we were more like people than just little groupie fans. It was a nice change. Yay!
Kate, Heather, and Aarti came in and we all hung out doing more Disney stuff and we met Karen to go see I-4! Whoo hoo! Tons of fun AFTER we found the Borders. <.giggle> It was good to see Karen again. Not too many I-4 fans were present at the preformance. Andy, Scott, Ben, and Nathan were the only members there cause Jared was in NY and Brent was in Texas, but they will soon reunite for the next one on Friday. When we got there, Ben looked at me like "I know you" and during one of their songs, Scott and Ben noticed our table was singing along with them. After the song, Scott said, "Ya know, it's so nice to see people in the audience singing our lyrics" and pointed to our table. After the show, we went to talk to them and they remembered us. Ben was like, "You look so familar" to me and I was like, "That is because we talked at Dantes and The Social" He was like, "OH YEA!" <.giggle> Scott said, "Do you NOT remember them? They are our oldest fans!" AWWW....at least HE remembered! <.grin> Karen and I might go see them this friday and get in their video. SO exciting. It will be played on MTV cause Joey is gonna cameo in it, very cool! I am excited for them!
So then, I moved into my awesome villas. I was so surprised to hear that they were letting us get our own community in a WDW resort. It's so awesome! I have my own loft and live with two others (both NSYNC fans). They were friends before this so they wanted to share the smaller room, and I lucked out with the loft! Excitement!
Very cool thing is I saw one of the Vista Resident Advisors, Nick, at the Villas and he remembered me from summer. Ahh! <.grin> AND Joaquin from security did too! YAY! <.grin> LOVE it when people remember me! Makes me feel loved! <.grin>
We saw Chris and Charles at the Ale House and ran into PJ there. This is why I love Orlando so much. You can go anywhere and see someone you know. I LOVE that!
con't on January 9, 2003:
We have had so much fun just hanging out with our reunion! I didn't want anyone to leave me! We went and saw Jen at Celebration and hung out with her for a bit.
I dropped off Kate, Aarti, and Heather at the airport and came back to the villas feeling a little bit lonely. I like my roomies, but it's still a new place and still new feelings of everything so I just need to get into the groove.
Yesterday was my first training day. Bob and Tony facilitated the class and were very entertaining. I met lots of cool people, found out that out of 600-800 applicants (not sure the exact number) only 20 were chosen for Guest Relations, me being one of them! Crazy! I can't imagine that...don't know how that happened. All the guest relations people are so cool. I am working with seven others from my class at Epcot! SO exciting! Tye, Jordon (from Harvard), Jonathan, Jane, Serena, Alex, and Will all will be at Epcot with me and we are all learning together. Very cool!
I am basically being taught of how to be a manager. It's so cool to have as much "power" as we do to exceed guest's expectations! <.grin> I am excited!
Today, we had many surprises. Bob and Tony started us off by having a mini video presentation on counterfeit bills then they took us to Celebration at the Disney Cruise Line offices to learn some computer programs. I ran into Marcel here! SO cool to see him again!
Then, they took us to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for lunch on THEM! Whoo hoo! Then, a tour on the VIP floor and we got to see the rooms and such! So nice! Then, onto more surprises! We got to finish the day off at Animal Kingdom (my first home!) while riding Dinosaur (T, I thought of you!), and seeing the parade, it was so much fun!
I am SO loving training! It is SO much fun and I am learning SO much! We are being treated as VIPs ourselves so it's great fun! Tomorrow I start my three-day property tour of ALL of Disney....my feet are gonna HURT, but I am so excited! Then, I have two more days of ATS training which is dealing with more computer systems and money stuff.
I-4's video is tomorrow and I really want to go, but it's in West Palm Beach so I don't see that happening! We shall see. Gonna see Michelle tonight at PI for her last night here...saddness. I have seen Jen, PJ, Gina, Kate, Heather, Aarti, Amy Jo, Meg, Grace, Chris, Charles, Michelle, Jessica, Joaquin, Marcel, Marcus, and many others so it was a great reunion and it was great to see them all again. Just wish they were still here. It is so different without them.
I LOVE my loft. It is so nice! I love my private bathroom and I am enjoying everything! Just need a computer that works well and quickly to make my life easier...May not hear from me for awhile because of this inconvience, but you will hear from me eventually! Later!
