Today I went to my classes! Sex class was exciting like normal (no pun meant there-hee hee) We learned about sexual orientation in other cultures of how in some tribes, the older men "mentor" the younger men by showing them the ropes in areas that are still considered taboo here in the U.S. and it is still ok for those same older men to have heterosexual marriages with women in a healthy relationship and considered normal for them to "mentor" the younger males. Youth and Crime was quite boring today-so I will spare you what I had to go through. Hee hee! Then onto News Media, where my bibliography was one of the examples of people "on the right track" so I took it as a major compliment coming from my professor. I had a two hour break, so I studied some then watched some of "Manhattan" by Woody Allen-not through yet but so far it is EXCELLENT :) I am throughly enjoying it! Then, onto my POP class, where Dr. Friedman wasn't there due to a "family emergency" :( saddness I hope everything is ok, but he had someone come in and administer a video to us. This video was like rated R and for mature audiences ONLY and it was about transexuals who did "balls" where they dressed or UNDRESSED as the case may be, and showed us what life is like in New York City for their crew, and it was pretty R rated and this student just happened to bring her son to THIS class, and he was about four years old I would say, and one of the other people in the class told her the video was rated R (cause they had walked in late) and she goes ok, and let her son watch this, I was so amazed and saddened, ok yea he is HER son and it is HER choice of what he watches, BUT I would SO Not have let him watch that if I had anything to do with it, there was foul language, stripping, nakedness, and just simply completely rated R, but whatever.
So, then I had law, and I got my exam grade back-I got an 88% so it's not THAT bad, but I am so upset with that grade, I want and need an A in there, it's gonna be one of my most difficult grades to get, so I am trying extra hard so I need that A! I will keep on working! Tomorrow is a day off, I am gonna rest and catch up on reading and essay writing! :) SO much to do, SO little time! Later!

Tonight was such a blast! I had so much fun working tonight. It was SO busy though which made it go by fast, but made it a tiny bit more stressful. So, it was Lakers Vs. Hawks in which the majority of the fans were for the Lakers. So, I was at BOA Marta Access which is where all the suite/club people enter in to the private area so it was me and Stephanie (they have never stuck us together before, and we are always together so it was a bad idea to put us together-we had SUCH a blast, but we held it DOWN) we seriously did awesome! I was proud of us. So, I saw Randy and Spiff from Fox 97 morning show, and I so love them, but I couldn't tell em, cause it's so not allowed, then we saw one of our Thrashers Hockey players that is SO hot. It was enjoyable. Also, I heard tons of celebrities were there, including Chris Tucker (coolness), but I didn't see any others that I could recognize. So, me and Stephanie were turning tons of people away who didn't have access in the suite area, so we were making people upset, but whatcha gonna do, can't come in unless you have access.
So, the concerige desk people told us that we did an excellent job! It's always nice to be prasied, and I thanked them for helping us when we needed it, so it was all good. The Hawks lost HORRIBLY, but whatcha gonna do, can't win them all. Oh and I got to see a guy that I practically grew up with and that was such a good surprise. I felt bad though cause he had a little boy with him and he wanted Chris Tucker's autograph, oh well, :(
Tomorrow I have classes again, so I am gonna be warn out completely-oh well :)

Today I had my classes....I am learning so much! hee hee I am gonna share with ya'll what I have been learning in each class: *Sex and Society*: Currently, we are discussing cross-culturally the differences in societal norms with sexual desires and acts.....like kissing across cultures are funny, in our culture, we think its erotic to use the tongue when kissing ("french kissing" yet the French call it "Italian Kissing"), well according to the Baliniese culture, the more common kiss is the "ocean kiss" which is placing nose near the cheek, inhaling, and a quick smack on the cheek. Other cultures believe that slapping or biting is more fit for arousal than kissing, so they don't kiss at all. Some believe that it's dangerous to kiss because they believe the soul enters/exits through the mouth and by kissing, you are sucking the soul out of the body.
*Youth and Crime*: Did you know that 50% of victims do NOT report the crime :( saddness. C'mon guys, report it so our statistics can be more accurate and so that what happened to you doesn't happen to other people. Male teens are more likely to commit a crime then females or adults. Because of testosterone, men are more likely to get aggressive....also...food can be a factor...studies show that adolescents who eat MORE candy and sweets are more prone to commit crimes...Interesting.....
*News Media*: Reviewing of history-so not too much learned, hee hee, but I will give you updates at a later time...hee hee
*POP*: WHOO HOO! :) hee hee SO many things learned, I can't even mention them ALL :) "Naturalization" the act of thinking some types of text are of higher quality than others, in turn passing judgements on the community of people who enjoy that text. Example: Higher/Upper Class consider Opera to be of higher quality and consider people who listen to POP music of lower quality and of lower class in turn passing judgement on them saying that POP music is of lesser quality than Opera.
*Law*: GA law allows nude dancing as a form of expression due to the first amendment saying that the nude dancers are conveying a message and the audience is understand the message, while Federal law recognizes that nude dancing is a form of expression but since it does not AGREE with the message, it deams it as unlawful.
So, I had my law exam today-whew, it was very difficult, it was like my law teacher WANTED to trick us on purpose, so we shall see on Wednesday the damage I may have caused myself. So, every other class was pretty good today-I have a LOT to do as always for my classes, but I will live. Tomorrow I work the Hawks game vs. Lakers so busy day tomorrow I am sure.

I love Chris so much that I have to post pics of him every now and then. So this is one where I am thinking he is the biggest dork ever. And this one is just the cutest, cause he trys so hard to work it :) hee hee

Today I just simply stayed in and studied, I did most of my studying for my law exam today which is helpful, seeing as though my exam is TOMORROW, hee hee, and I have to read an entire book before class tomorrow, I am still in the introduction-oops, but I am prepared for all the other classes so that is nice-I think....hee hee Kate and I are playing a fun game of guess this song by just giving a lyric-it's fun and confusin, cause we both are playing music and it's messin' with our heads. I can't believe that it's almost February! My parents are throwning me a birthday dinner with my family, me excited! They were asking me what I wanted, and I said ALL I WANT is a DVD player, hee hee they think it's too expensive-humph-oh well, I asked for money instead :) to put TOWARDS a DVD player, I am so behind, I am probably the only person left without one...oh well, I will get one eventually.
So, tomorrow is class *Joey's B-day*, tuesday is work (hawks vs. lakers-busy day), wed more classes, thursday *Justin's B-day* & BREAK for me-whoo hoo!

Today, my mom and dad and I traveled to South Carolina to visit my aunt and uncle. It was a fun day! I got to set up and help teach my god parents how to use the computer, they learned fast, and I think maybe forgot fast too, but they have sent me three emails since I left and seem to be doing just fine. I think they are REALLY enjoying it too, now if they see the link for this website on the bottom of my emails that I replied to them tonight, and find their way here, they will be doing EXCELLENT, but we will see if they notice it or not. I think mostly they will be looking up stuff they are interested on the internet such as birds, photography, polar bears, wildlife, nature, etc. All was good, although I am BEAT! My father made us leave at 7AM to get a head start-UGH so I napped on the way there AND on the way back, hee hee and I am still tired, but all is good, I will catch up eventually, I hope. I am watching Enrique make his video for "Escape"-he is so cute, lol I really enjoy him and I love this song, good think I bought the album, I am all about this song....
Tomorrow I have TONS to do, I need to wake up at a decent hour-decent meaning I should NOT sleep half the day away like I normally do, then I HAVE to do some studying, I have a law test on Monday and I really need to read for my POP class, so whew, I am getting stressed already, wish me luck.

Tonight my dad and I ventured off to the hawks game, we lost, but it was still fun! It was so strange to go as a fan though. I mean, I felt like I should have been standing up the whole time checking tickets, LOL! I saw everyone which was exciting, it took them all a minute to recognize me without my cool vest/tie uniform. So, after they finally realize they know me, and it's me-they all give me hugs (hee hee) I love the people I work with, they are so cool! The first people I see is Victor (who gave me a huge hug) and Jesse (who took my ticket and wouldn't give it back) then we went around the lower bowl and I showed my dad all the places I normally work and all that stuff. Then, I introduced my supervisor's Vincent and Greg to my dad and Vincent said something like "make sure her hair doesn't catch on fire" and umm I didn't tell my parents about that widespread panic incident in fear of them making me quit, so that kinda went over my dad's head I hope, LOL. oh well, so much for keeping a secret. So then my dad and I head to our seats, and I go to pick up my February schedule down at the Guest Service Center, where I see Bert, Cherry, and the two guest service ushers and I get my calender and then later ran into Jesse AGAIN-he's such a dork, he keeps playing with me, and said he kept it in when he should have told my dad that I kiss good, lol I was like, you don't know how I kiss, hee hee, and he grabs Bert, and Bert says, where is your beer? and I said, I can't drink beer, I am here with my dad. Then I saw another supervisor, David, and he didn't even know it was me till I grabbed him after he had looked at me like twice, he was just gonna walk on by me like he didn't know who I was, do I look THAT different without a certain uniform on? WEIRDNESS.
SO then I go up to my seat again, and I see Calvin Hughes (our tv news guy) getting off the elevator, hee hee, then I see other supervisors Quintin (whom I adore) and Milli (who I love as well) and Milli says I look better in street clothes, and she tells my dad that I am beautiful and the sweetest, how cute is she? Major points there...so then after the game (which we lost to the Pistons) we go and my dad wants to take pictures of the ATLANTA sign on the front of Philips Arena so we walk ALL the way up there, and he takes a few shots, then we walk down and I see more supervisors (hee hee I have seen enough for my day off) and can I just mention how much I hate guys, ok that's all I will say. It was fun though-tomorrow is gonna be a long day of traveling to S.C.-wish me luck, later
ALSO, if you want to listen to some examples of the grammar jingles go to this site for snipets of the Grammar Jingles and check them out! They are so good!
Today I had class which was exciting as sex class always is...and I was walking to the parking deck and I saw the boy from my child's lit class, hee hee and I smiled at him-I am such a dork, he totally didn't have any facial expression on his face, I just think he's so cute, beatle wannabe...so cute..oh well, Carolyn is a dork, lol. That was the event of the day so far! Ok I am stealing the Friday Five from Kate...again....hee hee
1. What cologne or perfume do you wear? *I wear Curve, but I really love Tommy for women and Cold Water for women.
2. What cologne or perfume do you like best on the opposite sex? *I LOVE Cold Water for men!
3. What one smell can you not stomach? *I hate the way some foods smell: anything stir-fry makes me sick. I also cannot stand babies dirty diapers...lol sorry but it's true.
4. What smell do you like that others might consider weird? *I LOVE THE SMELL OF CAMPFIRE-especially when it's in my hair for days after a camp out.
5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? *I am going to the Hawks game tonight with my dad as a fan, I need to study some today, then tomorrow I am going to Augusta, South Carolina to visit my aunt and uncle and help them learn how to use the computer, then on Sunday I have SO MUCH to do: study for my law exam, finish my "working" bibliography for news media, etc. It should be an eventful weekend.
NOTE TO READERS: You must get the grammar jingles produced by Dax from Harcourt Publishing because they are SO GOOD and SO helpful even for a person in college i.e. look at me..I am SO learning...also for Disney lovers...which I know at least one reads this...they have a song on the Intermediate cd called "Time Machine" and it actually has in it..."please stand clear of the doors..." from the Disney monorail-I WAS SO HAPPY! SO ORDER THEM-they are expensive, but TOTALLY worth it!

Today I did a lot of work for my news media paper, I sat in front of microfiche for like two hours, boy that makes your head a little dizzy-with the lights down and going through old newspapers messes with you mind a bit-like "Time Traveling" which is what my teacher calls this project. Anyways, I also had to put in a request for a microfiche loan from another library to continue my researching, and the guy who helped me was so cool. He is from England, or so I assume from his thick accent. And on his fingers were a few silver rings, and one caught my eye, on his index finger-he had a ring just like the one from Buffy, the one that Angel gave to her, and I commented on it "From Buffy right?" and he smiled and told me all about it. He said the meaning comes from Ireland, and that if you wear it on your ring finger, you are married, if the heart is pointing outwards, you are single, if its inwards, you are taken. His was pointed outward, but he was so funny when telling this story, cause he told me all the little things about it, and the Irish background, showing his knowledge of other cultures and whatnot, then he goes "Ironically enough, I got this ring in North Georgia" hee hee, up in country town, I just thought it was cute! He was nice, and his accent was just cute, so I will be visiting him again when my requested microfiche comes in. After that, I went to the Law Library which was so cool-I had never been there before, and it was so much nicer than our regular library. LOTS OF CUTE LAW STUDENTS in there too, man, there was this guy in a cute law outfit-like not a suit but a nice dress shirt and nice pants, so cute! I need to hand out there more often! Tomorrow I have class then onto the Hawks game with my dad! It should be fun and kinda weird, my first time in Philips Arena after I had started working there so it's gonna be a little strange I think.

Today I had my class day! The best class today was my POP class, of course-hee hee, well we watched "Superstar:The Karen Carpenter Story" and amazingly enough not affliated with the tv movie special yet similarily titled the same-hee hee. So anyways this independent film was entirely made with Barbie dolls. It was amazing how the film pulled its audience (primarily myself) into it by getting us much more emotionally involved than I thought could happen when watching Barbie dolls *try* to interact with each other. It was very interesting and sad. It also used the Carpenter's music throughout the film using it very specifically in parts that describe what personal experiences were happening to Karen in her life and it made me very sad-I can honestly say (as my teacher pointed out) that we can never listen to her music in the same way. Richard Carpenter sued the director and they had an agreement that this film cannot be distrubuted so I was very lucky to have gotten to see it-It was a very incredible film. So I ate lunch with Wendy and Tonya came and surprised me and said hello-we hung out for a little bit-It was good to see her again-It had been so long since we had hung out. After all my draining of my brain due to too many classes in one day-I had to go get copies of a book that I don't have yet from a girl in my class-Michelle, and she's so cool, she works for Sony Records and does window displays and stuff, we drove in Virginia Highlands and she showed me where Doc Shays is-Danny's favorite restaurant from the Real World. I have always wanted to know where it was.
Tomorrow, I think I am gonna head to school even though it's an "off" day because I have so much due on Monday PLUS I have my first exam of this semester on Monday as well. I applied for graduation today, which is scary cause I am committing and admitting to the fact that I will be graduating December 2002 and it's SO COOL at the same time, ya know-the light at the end of the tunel, I kinda see a spec...hee hee...

Do you know how much I love this guy?
So today was another Hawks game-it was all good for the most part-small problems but isn't that always the case? Recording artist Corey sang the national anthem-how cute was he? He is probably around 11 or 12 years old and he was adorable, with a pretty high voice for a guy. The cutest part though was the halftime show-a huge chorus of young boys and girls came out for MLK day to sing with the R. Kelly track "The World's Greatest"-It was SO cute! :) Made you want to clap, sing, and swing with them-so cute! Now I don't have to work until next tuesday! I am going to the hawks game on Friday as a fan, so I am excited-now I have to focus on my school work -ugh!
Tonight was such a blast! Stephanie and I went early to work to see the WWF stars come in to the arena. We saw Maven come in-the guy who won WWF Tough Enough MTV-he is SO hot in person and so nice, he came around to ALL the fans and met each one, and we were far away so he waved right at us-whew he's hot. We glanced at JR too getting out of his car. So then, we went inside to work and go to the CNN center when Penny stopped us and needed us to help her tape papers to the seats by the ring, so we were like "no prob" so we go down there not thinking anything of it, and guess what? THEY were practicing in the ring, like tons of wrestlers, HOW cool is that? So, we go down right next to the ring and start our job...when who is RIGHT there sitting in the row next to me but MAVEN! AHHH! So me and Stephanie kind of look at him and he looks at us and grins like he kinda recognizes us, and we smile and giggle and he kinda lifts his head like "hey" and we smile, lol cause I know he recognized us from outside, and we were fans then and now working next to him, it was just great! Then, we look in the ring and Taz is RIGHT there AND Christian along with a bunch of other wrestlers that I couldn't recognize. So then, AL SNOW comes walking right by us, and I am just dying like "oh my gosh-it's like an MTV episode right here" Ric Flair came and sat down with his son right in front of me and smiles at me, and I smiled back like "I know him" It was great! So, I worked portal 6 which was PERFECT in the lower bowl and right where all the action is, it was such a great place.
I freaked when The Big Show came out, but stupid Cane picked him up and threw him out of the ring, JERK, then Maven came out in the ring and dominated his match, it was awesome! GO MAVEN-I am a huge fan now! :) After work, Stephanie and I waited for the wrestlers to come out, and we saw THE BIG SHOW (RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME-AHHH and he waved), JR go into a limo, all the McMahon's and Triple H go into a limo, some wrestlers I don't know, Canyon who signed A MILLION autographs-what a NICE guy, Taz waved and got in his car and then Stone Cold came out and waved to us, got in his car, drove a little, got out, got on top of his car and played the crowd asking "WHAT?" and then got off his car, burned rubber, and then sped away-how cool is he? :) LOVED IT. Me and Stephanie saw Kurt Angle with Christian and Taz following them go the wrong way so we pointed what way to leave the parking lot-stupid wrestlers lol. It was a BLAST! A great night with all the fans as well-they were all totally cool and no one gave me a hard time-it was wonderful! Times like these makes me love my job!
I totally missed the Chili's commerical debut so instead I will show this wonderful pic of "the most important person" hee hee I love him! :)

Last night was so much fun! Stephanie and I went to Jillians, which is a place with bowling, food, bars, dance floor, and games. It completely changes gears with a kid style place in the game area, to the nice four star like restaurant and a dance club party area. It was so much fun! I saw a guy I knew from High School which was cool-to catch up. We ate a great dinner-I had a cajun chicken salad-SO good! Then we put our name on the bowling list to then go play games like skee ball, basketball, air hockey, driving games, etc, then back to the club area to bowl-it was like cosmic bowling with everything dark, music loud, and everyone dancing everywhere, it was such a cool vibe. Stephanie and I decided we have to recruit more people to come bowl with us so we can stay longer, with just two people-bowling can go real quick. It reminded me of the old Orlando days of going bowling once a week-it was so much fun! Look what I found on the *N The Mix Messageboard these Star Wars Advertisments Kinda funny and creative if you ask me! *N Joy-I am going to my nephew's fourth birthday party tonight-how cute is that? We gonna have a good time-tomorrow I work WWF-wish me luck-it should be fun! Later!
Thursday, January 17, 2002
Well, today was much better than last Hawks game! Even though I was in the same section, people as a whole were a lot nicer and helped me do my job correctly, which is wonderful. Although lies are still going around about me at work, which bugs me, still I am trying to be the best person I can be and do the best work that I can possible and if people want to give me crap about it then so be it, I will be happy with myself in the long run. Tomorrow I have one class then Stephanie and I might go out to dinner and hang out. Then Saturday I have my nephews birthday party, and Sunday is WWF! WHOO HOO! Fun stuff.
Wednesday, January 16, 2002
Today wasn't too bad. I had three films, one library visit, and law for my classes today, so it wasn't TOO stressful. I think I have decided on my topic for my paper: Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle's trial in 1922 regarding the rape and murder of Virginia Rappe and William Hearst's inflammatory writings for the San Francisco Examiner because he was in cahoots with the prosecutor who was against Fatty. So, thats my topic, cool huh? I watched some of Creed tonight LIVE from PHILIPS ARENA, ATLANTA GEORGIA-cool huh? on VH1 too-that is just plain exciting. I work tomorrow another Hawks game, I hope things go well.
Tuesday, January 15, 2002
ok oh goodness, mess upon mess, well I had a rough day. I mean, I was so happy that I was put where I was put today because of my mistake on Saturday, but all is good with that on my part, except there are rumors going around making me look bad, which pisses me off cause these rumors are not true and I hate lies, so whatever, but I know that I did my job to the best of my ability today and will contuine to do so. Season ticket holders were not the nicest to me at all today, this area I was put in was where they all sit, and most were nice, but I can count at least three who were not at all nice. It makes my job so much harder when people don't understand why I would ask to see their tickets? I don't understand why they get so angry when it doesn't take that much effort to take out the ticket and let me glance at it, why is everybody too good to show it to me? I don't understand-but whatever such is life. So, why do I work here if it gives me so much hassle? Beats me! I mean I like meeting all these new people and a lot of them are so nice to talk to, but I just wish it was all gravy, but nothing ever is, I just need to vent. I go to classes tomorrow-UGH, but hopefully tomorrow will be a good day! I feel so stressed lately to the point of sickness. I am not happy anymore, I have noticed...this is just so much to take on when you have five stressful classes and work upon other responsibilites.
Saturday, January 12, 2002
Ok tonight sucked. I can't get more specific then that, but it just sucked, I had work issues and I screwed up big time, but I learned from my mistakes, and found out how awesome my supervisors and managers are even though I still feel REALLY bad about my mistake, which I totally knew what I SHOULD have done, I just didn't do it, but I know now for later use. Don't ever make the same mistake twice and it will be okay. So now that is done, I met a really cool security guy tonight, Chris, he was SO nice, and I throughly enjoyed our time working together, he helped me a lot, and I HOPE that I will get to work with him again. I am really gonna have issues this semester, my classes are just asking too much of me, it's gonna take all my energy and overload me-AHHH, I have to think of a topic for my 20 page scholarly paper by monday, AHH-pressure, no clue yet, help...pray for me...hee hee...later...
OK I stole this from Kate who most likely stole it from someone else, hee hee :) I love these get-to-know-you type questions! 1. What was your first job? -Techincally, my first job was at the Philly Connection, which my parents happened to own. They bought it when I was like eight and I practically became an assistant manager when I turned fifteen (old enough for a permit to work) and I worked there being paid until I was 17 then ventured out to be a receptionist for a work-study program my Senior year of HS at H & H Technologies. I have always had a job.....it's weird, I have only had a break after my Disney Internship-but it only lasted about six months.
2. How old were you when you had your first kiss? -This is kinda sad....I am kinda embarrassed, but here goes....I was 19. I was kissed on the fourth of july-fitting ey...I saw fireworks, although they went out quickly. And that's all I am gonna say about that.
3. What was your first car? What happened to it? -My first car that was MINE was a yellow car. I don't even remember what kind of car it was, isn't that horrible. But, less than a year after I had that car, my aunt and uncle offer to give me an 89 Honda Accord if I give my cheaper yellow car to a friend of theirs, so it was an excellent idea and we switched, and I still have my Honda and I love it, even though it gives me major problems.
4. What was your first concert? -My first concert was New Kids On The Block, exciting, huh? LOL It was so cool, we were SO far away and I hadn't gotten my glasses yet so I could see NOTHING, but I could hear the music and that was the important thing, it was at our old OMNI that is now gone...saddness...and it was TOO big, I remember thinking we were SO far away, I am so glad they put Philips Arena in it's place!
5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? -I am working tonight for the Hawks game, then I need to study some for my classes on Monday, tomorrow my "Country" friends might visit from Hartwell so we will end up hanging out most likely-YEA!
Today I went to my sex class and then met B and Rach at the International Farmer's Market, it was fun because it was totally different from a normal grocery store, or rather...a normal farmer's market...like people just opened items and tried it like without buying it and putting it back on the shelf...we picked up tons of items that were already opened and tasted...weird. Also, even if people were going to purchase the items, they opened them and started eating the item before even making it to the cash register...we saw finished drinks at the cashier, but obviously not paid for because it was on the side of the cashier that showed it didn't make it through the scanner part...hee hee...weirdness. Tomorrow I work again the Hawks game, then classes again-ugh will it ever stop with working on something....oh well
Wednesday, January 09, 2002
Today was an awesome day! I think it will be my only one for a while so I am gonna appreciate it as much as I can. It started out great with a sex class and a youth and crime class, then I went to my horrid news media class, but it was ok today, I lived. Then, I had a break, and how cool is this? My youth and crime teacher came over to me in the eating area and said he recognized me-wasnt that nice, and very observant of him-seeing as though he has only seen me twice ever, but that was cool of him. So, then I go to the best lecture I have ever had-POP class and just GUESS what the topic was? *NSYNC..I had an hour and fifteen minutes talking and analyzing about *NSYNC-oh my goodness, what a wonderful class. My teacher painfully got a couple small details wrong, but I held my tonguejust one about *NSYNC being with Burger King, which they were with McDonalds while BSB was with Burger King, see it was a small detail. So, he asked us whether or not they were with Jive now or left Jive for somewhere else, so I helped and I said that they were with Jive currently, oh I am such a big help. <.grin.>
So, then we watch *NSYNC's video, "It's gonna be me" and we are seriously like talking about them the WHOLE time, so exciting. He taught us about "slash" ewww why did he need to bring it up? LOL oh well He talks about the VMA 2000 preformance with the tvs-he was impressed, you could tell. So, at the end of class, I admitted I was a "hard-core" fan as he described some of their fans, and he laughed, and I told him that if I could help him in any way with materials, such as videos or whatnot, I have quite a collection, he said "I wish I had known that before" I said oh well and then....showed him my watch, I am such a dork, LOL but he liked it. FUN CLASS. So then boring law and that was my day, very good day all in all though. Tomorrow I have a day off to read and study, lucky me!
Tuesday, January 08, 2002
Tonight I worked the Hawks game, WE WON! whoo hoo-I got to hold the rope again which is always fun and exciting! Not too much occurred today. My Supervisor Jessie THINKS he's my boyfriend, and keeps playing with me, saying "Hey Honey!" Like in PUBLIC (not that he does it in private) but in front of people and rumors are spread quite quickly around this place, so that gets me worried, but he tries to be a funny guy so he is enjoying it so whatever. So, work wasn't too bad, there wasn't much attendence tonight for some reason. I had a few guests who were quite amusing. Two of them played with me though, like lied to me (in other words) claiming that they had much WORSE seats then they really had, and when I asked why they were claiming WORSE seats, they said "I just wanted to talk to you" awww, that was sweet-Tomorrow I have another LOOOONG day of classes...but then I have all of thursday to myself...most likely to start working on major projects expected of me in those classes below that are gonna KILL me. Ok enough of boring today, later...
ok so today was a LONG day! First day of classes. Here is my schedule: MWF Sex and Society 11-11:50 MW Youth and Crime 12-1:15 MW Hist of News Media 1:30-2:45 BREAK from 2:45 UNTIL 5:30 CRAZY MW Media and "POP" (hee hee) Culture 5:30-6:45 MW Communication Law 7:15-8:30
Ok so, I go from 11-8:30 on Mondays and Wednesday, granted no Tuesday/Thursday classes, BUT still-that is a LONG day to go to classes ALL DAY LONG. SO let me tell you about my day....My friend Jessica is just starting at GSU so I take her around to run necessary errands to start to register and she comes to my first class, with Stombler, who I absolutely LOVE, she is so funny and such a great teacher...she is teaching me Sex and Society this semester, last semester I had her for Intro and she is such a great teacher, anyways Jessica loves her class too and wants to take it, fun stuff, morning started out GREAT!
Then, even better I have ANOTHER Sociology class of Youth and Crime with Dr. Stewart-such a JOLLY guy, he seems so fun, so I think I will enjoy that class as well. He liked that I work at Philips Arena (We had to go around the class and introduce ourselves and say what we do for fun-I said I love music and I get to see free concerts at where I work-hee hee) and he goes "I am gonna have to talk to you!" so I said "I have NO connections, though" and he said "I am still gonna talk to you!" Funny stuff, STILL a great morning...UNTIL <.music starts. dun..dun..duuunnn.>
Hist of news media, I think my teacher is gonne be a GREAT teacher and he's SO nice, BUT this class is gonna kill me....not only is it a LOT of work, but it requires things of me that I don't DO-I just don't DO.....AN IMPROVSATIONAL PERFORMANCE...AHHHH...I DO NOT ACT, I don't even ACT LIKE I ACT....I am so scared....he expects us to put on a performance ON A STAGE in front of a REAL AUDIENCE, AHHHH, and he is the ONLY teacher that teaches this class and it's required for me to graduate, so what am I suppose to do, CRY I tell ya, just CRY :( so that ruined my day, PLUS on TOP of that a 20 page SCHOLARLY paper in that class that we are EXPECTED and REQUIRED to submit into professional contests, AHHH, talk about pressure, AND then we ALSO each (each student that is) is required to LEAD a discussion along with a 3 page essay ON THREE SEPARATE topics during the semester, AHHH and this is JUST ONE CLASS...ok enough of that, I am getting an ulcer...so then I have a break which I used to do my homework for that class due Wednesday.
Then I went to Media and "POP" Culture which for *NSYNC's usage I will simply call that class my "POP" class hee hee :) and my teacher is a film teacher who seems cool but VERY intellutual which makes me a tad intimidated by him and his language...all BIG words, LOL so anyways he wants us to fill out an informational sheet for his knowledge only and the questions are "name, phone #, email, tv shows regularly watched, and favorite cd of 2001" HEE HEE HEE I said "honestly.....*NSYNC's "Celebrity"...sorry :)" and I know he is gonna freak cause we turned them in...and then he gave us an overview of the class which sounds SO for me, and he mentions Britney and BSB (not badly) but inferior in the pop culture, ya know..like important yet sad...so I am afraid now, hee hee, ALSO I have to do a 15 minute presentation in that class too, AHH, I am NOT a presenting kind of person like they want me to be, what is wrong with teachers these days, lol just playin, anyways..
ok so onto the last class, which I THOUGHT would be my worst, but turned out to not be so bad...Communication Law...not so bad, just LOTS of writing notes and memorizing cases and stuff, but seems like a good teacher so I will be okay in that class I think, just the two middle ones are gonna KILL me, LITERALLY, so that was my LONG day....and I have to work tomorrow another Hawks game then Classes AGAIN on Wednesday....oh my goodness, can I make it through this semester? We shall see, oh we shall see...pray for me...:)

Today, I went shopping for school supplies....you know, folders, paper, pencils, etc...then came home to rest as this is my last day of complete freedom with nothing to do, it's so wonderful and I so do not want to give it up yet, but whatever-duty calls and I must go back to school. So, I shall be going MW ALL day long and Fridays for an hour. I am watching Grease II, do you know how much I LOVE this movie? I LOVE IT-favorite EVER! I am sure I will be keeping up better with my reading starting tomorrow cause I will have some major time to kill inbetween classes. So, Kate is talking about resumes and I am freaking out on how behind my preparation thoughts are, cause I haven't been considering it at all, I mean yea I still have a year, but cmon, graduating...who would have thought it would come so soon, crap-or come at all, ya know...Ok so I stole this from Hopelessromantics -thanks! 1. You've just won a complete collection of movies starring one actor - what actor would you pick? -hmm hard one...I love Tom Hanks as an actor, but I also just love watching John Hannah do anything....and Bill Pullman, Richard Gere of course too-man hard question....this is just for an ACTOR as in a man right? Because if this was about all actors including women as well, I would choose Julia Roberts all the way, and Meg Ryan coming up second...
2. What was the last movie you saw in a theater? -Jimmy Neutron-Boy Genius, I took my eight year old nephew to see it recently, cute movie, but I don't wanna see it again....favorite part? The circus part where they played *NSYNC's POP almost in its entirety :) WHOO HOO!
3. What was the last video or DVD that you bought? -Umm, I bought The Wedding Planner and The Mirror has two faces for my mom for Christmas but the last video I bought myself was probably Almost Famous, cause since I am a journalism major, everyone was telling me I had to see it, so I bought it already watched from Blockbuster Video-great movie by the way.
4. What movie could you watch over and over again and not get sick of? -There are a few...While you were sleeping definitely, Return to Me, Sliding Doors, StageCoach, Tarzan, Shrek, and Little Women, I love em :)
5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? -Well, I am working on Saturday the Hawks game, and I may hook up with Tonya and Allison if they have time for me on Sunday-:)

Today I worked the Hawks game-we lost-saddness! But, I got to work portal 12 again, which I am enjoying AND I got to hold the ropes, which makes me happy too! Today we got our holiday gifts-whoo hoo ANOTHER bobblehead hee hee it's Ray Ferrero (or HOWEVER you spell his name) from the Thrashers...he's cute..the head falls off though, funny. Tonight wasn't too bad, I had to eject some 3-400 fans from my section after they snuck up there while I was holding the ropes, but other than that not too bad. Jessie freaked me out a bit tonight spreading some not so pure rumors right in front of me about how I wanted to kiss him and was all over him...then he started talking about my mole-ugh..not so good, lol Jessie needs to calm down. Pat was nice, tonight was my first time having him as a supervisor and he was sweet, I tried to show him the wonderful way to *NSYNC, and he said "who" LOL so I explained the way of the short version and he told me he liked the Eagles, so later he comes back saying to me "BSB is #1" Reggie must have gotten to him-GRRR, oh well, I will win, besides I am non-existant to Reggie now anyways. Nothing much happened today-I am not feeling too well, I think I am coming down with something-saddness, school starts on Monday-UGH-double UGH UGH, but then it will begin to make my blogging more interesting I hope.
I am SO excited! My grammar jingles came today-I haven't listened to them yet, but I am mucho excited...it's been SO long since I have wanted them-they were my Christmas gift, but they took FOREVER to get here, but it's ok, I have them now. Dax wrote all the music for them-he is the bomb-he was the keyboardist for *NSYNC for two years and the nicest most talented guy. If you want more info on them go here His whole site is so cool, but the info on the jingles tell about how Chris's sisters, Joey's sister and other related *NSYNC people sing on these grammar and math jingles-it's all related and very cool-I would recommend them to anyone who wants to be a teacher, who has kids, or loves kids, or in my case-is pretty bad in grammar and loves *NSYNC and Dax :) ...anyways.....today I went to the grocery store, bought stuff for school to start on Monday-ugh...went to my buddy Jessica's house and watched "Keeping the faith" CUTE movie...then came home-most exciting day, tomorrow I work the Hawks game-hopefully things will go well...Kate-when are you coming home again? hee hee later

ok so I said "let it snow" and it DID! WHEW and a LOT of snow came today-like a total of 6 inches for us and it's NOT ice..but ACTUAL SNOW-my dad and I attempted to make a snowman, but my doggy ruined that...oh well. I pretty much did nothing today, I woke up at like 8 in the morning for NO reason-just to see the snow I guess, and then slept for like four hours in the afternoon-I know, I am a lazy butt, then I watched "What women want" cute movie...but weird ending in my opinion. I am anticipating working on Saturday along with dreading school starting next week-UGH, maybe we will have tons more snow and the city will shut down so I won't have to go to school for another week-I wish-hee hee. So, tomorrow I may try to venture out and get my dry cleaning and go shopping...we will see if the roads are clear enough for that-It's exciting to experience what northerns have been experiencing for way more than us, but to have actual snow not mixed with ice is VERY exciting to us Georgians :)

<.starts singing.> Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow! IT's SNOWING all day LONG, whoo hoo! Enough to build a small snowman and to frollic and play the eskimo way, by walking through my winter wonderland in the back yard-it's days like these (the very few that come along anyways) that make me want to roast marshmellows on the fire (which we do not have a fire place, but large lit candles will work), go ice skating with someone special (whom I am still patiently waiting for), and drink hot chocolate while cuddling up with a good book and a quilt. Of course, none of those things happened today, instead I watched movies-Princess Diaries (cute but a little TOO goofy for me) and Shrek (been there and seen it and LOVIN it EVERYTIME) then I took a much needed nap and am wide awake right now...when I should be getting tired...Kate where are you? Just playin..I know...I know..on a freakin cruise...oh well. Not me, instead in the cold cold cold snowy state of GA for the time being anyways, so let it SNOW!

ok so I missed the NSYNC video-I know, I know...WHAT kind of a fan am I? But, I TRIED...I tried to tape it, but my tape ran out before the video came on I guess, cause it wasn't on the parts I did record...I couldn't help it if I worked on new years right....grrr...oh well, Just cause I miss one video...it doesn't mean that I am a horrible fan right? Oh well, it's suppose to snow on wed-brrr...it's cold enough all ready. Last night I left out cool things....Vincent is one of my supervisors..and he was playing with me about my hair...remember the whole catching on fire thing... so he comes up to me and is like "I am looking for scalp burns.....I thought you would be as bald as me" (he has no hair on his head) then my favorite "C'mon don't pull a Michael on us" ha ha ha Vincent-LOL he's hilarious, love him to death-giving me a hard time...Also, I had Sean again last night, I love that man, he's the bomb-so sweet! Jesse (another supe) and me got into it last night about women and men though, he's all "women are cold-hearted" and I am all in the mode of "men suck" cause well cause they do! We had issues-he also came over while another usher was moping up beer spills in our portal and he goes "that's women's work" oh could have killed 'em-whew, don't need to even talk like that around me....esp now after my sociology classes, we can have words...but I know he had to have just been saying that to get my goat, so I let it go. Which brings me to my resolutions...1) I need to let things go-I need to STOP worrying, stressing, and analyzing things or I am gonna die an early death 2) give up on finding my soul mate...I am just gonna try to wait it out cause THEY do say you find the one when you stop looking right? 3) Work out and eat better so I can feel better about myself which brings me to 4) Gain more self-confidence and finally 5) Be a better person as a whole, friendlier to people, more polite, watch what I say, stop gossiping, and be a better Christian. Sorry, guys giving up NSYNC is NOT one of my resolutions...I NEED that hee hee, and I will con't to LOVE them all the while.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! by the way! :) hee hee HAVE A GREAT ONE....! :)
ok I am THROUGH with Widespread Panic-whoo HOO! NO more...at least not for me this year....thank goodness, what a night! So, tonight I am kinda upset, I had never been kissed on the mouth by anyone on New Years Eve and some random dude ruined it by catching me by surprise and laying one on me, oh well-its GONE now. Also, I was hugged and kissed on the cheek a million zillon times, everyone was nice as usual, but what a hefty crowd. I did my job, and I think I did it well, so that is all that matters, I rang in the new year by getting ran over by a bunch of people getting in the portal, but all in all it was a good night and thank goodness it's OVER! WHOO HOO! So, I am gonna sleep for a LONG time and get rested until the next hawks game next sat. OH also, we got gifts for working tonight, a JASON TERRY BOBBLEHEAD, So cool, and what is real neat is that I have Chris on my tv talking to Jason hee hee-oh all my bobbleheads...what to do with them all? whew-till next time...

-*NSYNC Quote of the Moment-
"I think the hardest thing is that when you're apart from someone,
you put them on a pedestal, and when you meet them, you realize
that they're human and make mistakes, and it gets in the way

perfect, but as being special. And that's all from Dear Abby."
