Going full speed ahead like usual.
Went to see Matty Matt Matt at the Loaded Hog with Julie. Was good times until the speaker/amp blew and made a screeching sound that only dogs could understand and what bled our ears to the point of agony. Not cool at all. We were tempted to leave, but once we stepped out of the club for a break in sound, Matt (Big 10-4 Matt) pulled the plug and we were all thankful. Craziness. Jimmy was happier than usual, believe it or not. He couldn't stop smiling...he's so adorable. We headed out shortly after, it seemed Matty Matt Matt's confidence was a little edgy. We still love him, felt bad for the situation. Amps suck.
Got news on The Rock Boat....it's cancelled. I am sad. I know I shouldn't be so selfish, but oh how I was looking forward to it and it was so close. I will just have to wait though cause I am transferring along with John Frank onto the January boat. It's a longer vacation...exciting! Things work out for a reason, I believe that. Plus my good friends in Five Star Iris will be chugging along with me as well, and HOPEFULLY Big 10-4 too. I was there...I witnessed Jett asking Dan to go, so let's hope it happens! CMON BOYS!
Been touring a lot lately. After the fun tour with Bob Pattee, I worked all week and then got ready for Night of Joy 2005. I was very fortunate in getting an amazing band full of amazing people. I was prepared for a long weekend, but was blessed to have such great people around me the entire time. I picked up Jon first, the lead singer. He used to be in a band called Sense Field and we bonded right away. What a cool, easy going guy. Met up with Derek, Chad, Steve and his friend Anthony later on. Picked up Ian at the airport at the break of dawn, then met the families and friends of the band members the next day. It was a long, but fulfilling weekend. I slept all day on Sunday after dropping them off at the airport. Everyone was fun and so nice, very down to earth and thankful for everything that was happening. Very much so worth the crazy hours and lack of sleep. An experience I will never forget. Keith rocked out, as usual, as being my MK guy and it was good to have familiar faces there at the stage. Thanks for the rides my friend!
Monday was softball and we lost, but we had a great time losing. I think the important part is having fun and being able to play and hang out with friends. Others might not see it that way, but that's all that is important in the end. Who cares years from now if we won or not, we will remember the times on the field and in the dug out being with each other. I love the smell of the grass, the feeling of playing as a team and cheering each other on. That's what I love. I got the game ball, not sure why, but still much appreciated. I am loving the people on that team. We went out to the Ale House per usual, it's our tradition now. Too much fun!
Saw Brad Rex yesterday and he remembered me. I love that kid. Such a great feeling when someone who doesn't need to take the time to say hello does. Amazing person he is. I'm a fan.
Heading out in a few and going to a CCMaD meeting...then the craziness of the week begins. I am going to two Tony Lucca shows, my last Honestly show (SO SAD) and I'm flying home to the ATL for that one, then working like a crazy woman. Wish me luck!

Weather: Beautiful and Sunny Florida
What a weekend. I worked 60 hours in four days. I was a tour guide for the Tom Joyner Reunion Event. Good times. Spent quite a few hours with a wonderful family and a participant of the event. They rapped, beat boxed, and sang their way through the event and they were amazing. Good times with some fun kids. Bob Pattee and I giggled our way through the days and kept each other awake and coherent.
Sadly, I missed a good friend's birthday party. I love you Cali! Hope you had an amazing time celebrating your birthday! I was there in spirit!
Found out some sad news today. Apparently Ben is leaving Yellowcard...how sad am I? I guess nothing is ever gonna stay the same. Every single band I know is going through some kind of change, good or bad, right now. Most of it's bad, but the only good thing is Big 10-4 going to Cali to record their new album under a label. Amazing for them! Every other band is breaking apart, quitting, or just have major drama that will get them nowhere. Depressing when something you work for and something you believe in so much just goes away for the stupidest of reasons. Oh well.
I am currently listening to *NSYNC's Christmas Album. Every year around this time (sometimes earlier) I get into the Christmas mood again and have to listen to them. I love them...and always will. Ahh...CK *grin*.
My life is still unbelievably crazy. My friend's are amazing and always there for me, I am very thankful of that. Julie and 867 were tail gating in my apartment complex the other evening waiting on me to get home so we can drink "ber" and have dar conversations....it was just what I needed. Thank you for that. Been playing a lot of softball and doing my running routine. Evan, A Bonds, Steven and I get together early before every game and practice, it's just what I need to get my aggression out. We had a good game last night. Great team work, great attitudes (except for maybe one), wonderful time and good sportsmanship. No, we didn't win, but it didn't matter, we had fun and people showed up to play and that is the important thing. The only important thing!
This weekend is gonna be another crazy one. Night of Joy is this weekend and I have a band called Further Seems Forever. Can't wait to meet them. Hope it's just as good as last year! I loved it! I totally missed those 3am sound checks....another wonderful working weekend!
The weekend after that I am flying home to see the family, see my last show of Honestly with Justin in it and then flying back the next day. Katrina's b-day is finally almost here and we are gonna celebrate with her at some point! And then maybe a random trip somewhere. My Rock Boat Dream Vacation looks like it is being cancelled or postponed at least due to the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. I know it's for a good cause (they are donating the boats) but I can't help but be a tad selfish in being upset about it being cancelled. I know it's horrible of me, but I was so looking forward to it. Ah well.
