05/09/74 SWITZERLAND : BERN - INTERLAKEN: SAR, Rick. According to ancient records, this was the first memorable occasion on which Bacchanalian Research was carried out simultaneously by two Members. The occasion was orchestrated by Rick's father and it is said that "a large quantity of Beer (a bottle of Kanterbrau, to the tune of approximately a pint, which was a lot then) was had in a cafe overlooking the park on the outskirts (of Interlaken)

23/12/74 LONDON SW19 - WIMBLEDON: SAR, Rick, others. This was a Bacchanalian/Musical occasion, which took place in the "(AORANGI CLUB)" where Rick, then known by the medieval epithet of Hudde, played what was then known as a "gig" with his band, which was then known as "Threnody". On this occasion, four pints of Whitbread were had, which was an historical precedent.
