Therefore, as God's
chosen people, holy and early loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness,
humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances
you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these
virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Colossians 3:12-14
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as types of
malicious behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:31-32
The bitter tree bears no fruit. It withers and dies because there is nothing to
nourish it. Similarly, when you plant a seed of bitterness in your heart, no love can grow
there, only thorns. The bitter heart is weak; it makes life unbearable. The love of Christ
is so sweet. it can bring life back to your barren existence, and before you know it, the
fruit of His Love will abound in your life. Sow the seeds of His Love, and
you will never be hungry again.
Prayer
" Lord, I release all bitter roots that have taken hold in my life. I give
them to You, knowing that You will replace them with the living seed of Your Love. I
gratefully eat generously of Your fruit." |
