Sin

Man makes so little of sin. By some, it is denied and laughed at. However, God makes so much of sin. Sin is an evil force in this life, but it can be over come by the power of God. No matter who you are and how much you know, you are not always right.

For when you were slaves of sin, you were set free in regard to righteousness. But then what benefit did you get from the things you are now ashamed? None, for the end of those things is death. But now since you have been set free from sin and have become the slaves of God, you have your present reward in holiness and its end is eternal life. For the wages which sin pays is death, but the bountiful free gift of God is eternal life through in union with Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:20-23

He who covers his transgressions will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes his sins will have mercy.
Proverbs 28:13

When I kept silent before I confessed my sins, my bones wasted away through my groaning all the day long. I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not hide. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord continually unfolding the past till all is told - then You instantly forgave me the guilt and iniquity of my sin.
