Shame

Then if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.
II Corinthians 7:14

And I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obediant heart.

Shame can feel like walking through life carrying heavy baggage with you wherever you go. You believe that you need those heavy suitcases filled with past experiences with you all day, every day. The past can be so heavy, can't it? And the heaviness can slow you down until you've stopped. It's too hard to go on.
You might feel like the shame is so bad that you'll never feel clean again. But the Lord has promised you that He sees you as the beautiful lady He created. The past is the past. Take it to God, give Him that baggage and then walk confidently forward - lighter, happier, and spotless.

Prayer
"Lord, there is nothing from my past that can withhold Your Love from me. I've held on to these secrets for so long, but now I'm ready to leave the past where it belongs - in the past. With You holding my hand and my heart, I can finally live in the 'now' and move joyously into my future."
