DOES SEX WITHOUT LOVE BRING LASTING SATISFACTION?
Yesterday, I was loooking at a front page of a cover-girl's magazine
through the glass wall of a store. What hurted my mind was the impassible
face of the girl; she was not smiling and let me think that she was there
only for the business. Then, she reminded me a prostitute I knew in
Martissan, Haiti, with the beautiful Greek name of Eunid. She, too, had a
stern face and never smiled. While I was after her for a true love, she
deceived me after having taken some money from me pretexting she needed it
to make some modification in her room. People who do sex without love
are like animals and even worse than them since, for those, sex is to
serve the purpose of reproduction. Let not our materialistic society
evolve in this direction and let us ask our cover-girl to keep smiling
while posing. (This text was written, today, April 14,
2003; it is for Nefeti Shepperd, a smiling cover-girl on my
desktop)
WHY WOULD THE INTERNATIONAL MOB BE USING INTERNATIONAL
TERRORISTS?
First, let me make a point. Yesterday, I was buying at a Health Food
Center nearby home, at the site once occupied by the Westerly Pharmacy. A
French guy, probably an agent of the mob, came with his girl-friend.
While I was looking at her speaking French, I heard the man saying that I
am an idiot ("un con", in French). My answer to him is that I am not one
of them because I have not had intercourse with French prostitutes and
pimps, to have the favor of a C.E.G.E.P., (A similar
experience has been lived with a German young couple at the J,Y, vegetable
Corean market, at the corner of 8th Avre and 56th St., with te girl
saying that I will be rejected, a few days before the invasion of
Iraq, and that makes me think that Germany was prepared to oppose the
U.S.) I did not go to Strasbourg to live but only to study. if
this could not be done the only thing I had to do is to leave. Neither I
will feel obliged to take any lady whether she belongs or not to an
important fraction of the community nor will I feel obliged to believe in
God or be in a special religious group to get a job.
In a recent letter to the mayor, I have told
him that I have the firm impression that the mob has used Osana bin Laden,
the international Arab terrorist who has done it just for money.
Terrorism for money is a little bit different from terrorism for
patriotism since the "money" terrorist can work for a variety of
causes and for a variety of promoters (The terrorist act, on March 11,
2004, in the metro of Madrid, Spain, duringthe rush hour, proved me to be
correct). The reason that I think that the mob has used Mr. ben Laden* are:
- the World Trade Center has lodged a floor that fighted against drug
dealers
- Mayor Juliani has been a major problem to the dealers since, as an
ancient prosecutor, he knew how to fight them effectively
- destroying The World Trade Center and disturbing the peace of this
nation will give them a respite so that they will be able to recuperate
after Juliani
- since the break down of the Soviet block and the end of the Cold War,
and with the importation of illegal drugs cultivated in other countries,
the mob has built up a huge international reputation and has grown
tremendously
- now, the mob has infiltrated or can infiltrate any social organisation
with his numerous agents who can be either American citizen or
immigrants
- this was a tactic of diversion
- finally, many people, here, have seemingly be aware of the incoming
terrorist attack well before it happened

The only thing that is not sure is: HAS THE MOB BEEN ACTING ALONE?
LE PRINCE DE MACHIAVEL - LA POLITIQUE EST-ELLE UNE
SALE AFFAIRE?
WHAT ARE ETHICS?3
Ethics is not religion. What is unacceptable in a religion can be
perfectly compliant to the codes of ethics. Ethics applies to local codes
just as well as to international codes. All man of science, all physician,
for example, must respect the codes of ethics. Lying, for example, to
ascertain favors, is unacceptable. Another example is that abortion can be
all made compliant to the laws of ethics but only to be disapproven by
some religions. Ethics is not bound to the divine beliefs as religions are
and no man who observes the codes of ethics is obliged to believe in a
god. The morals of ethics is often different from that of the religion,
although all religions include in their teaching some ethics' principles.
Finally, ethics is not politeness, but ethics and politeness are not
incompatible.(posted this 05/23/03)
PATRIPOCHE VS PATRIOTE: HAITI EST-IL SUR LE BON
SENTIER?

SHOULD THE RELIGIOUS LEADER STRIVE TO MAKE A
DEAL?
Should compromise or diplomacy be part of the religious life? Theory
and practice are two different things. What is teaching the theory may be
sometimes impractical. However, making a law of this natural fact is not
to be encouraged in the religious life. Perfection, indeed, is a goal
that is worth to be tried. (posted this 05/4/04)
THE PATH TO ANARCHY
In the American Heritage Dictionary, anarchy is described
as a state of political confusion and disorder. Most periods of anarchy
have begun with the overthrow of a ruler and the subsequent ruin of the
ruling class, the elitist class that has often been hold
accountable for blocking the progress of a nation and the evolution of its
lower social classes. Anarchy is not a necessity to social
evolution and is to be avoided whenever this is possible. In a
manuscript, "The Unconscious Motives of the Politico-Social Anarchy in
Haiti", I have underlined one of the possible causes of the chronic
political instability that this country has known since its independence.
I have quoted the authoritarian trait and the relative lack of freedom of
the people. Another cause may be the lack of strength of the ruling
class. Throughout history, - whenever the ruling class has changed
hands, it has often carried with it the money the country might have
needed so badly to alleviate the misery of the lower classes and to
improve the wealth of the nation.
Haiti is a country which has had many violent
revolutions much more than a country can afford itself if it wants
continue to exist as an independent nation. The
country is presently in ruin, can barely feed its own population and is
mostly a vassal of the superpower - mostly France and United States
- of the world.
The bad story began in Haiti with the fight between two
local leaders, Rigaud and Toussaint, who were to replace the colonial
powers - France, Spain and Great Britain - which were also fighting each
other for the control of the island. It has continued thereafter with a
lot of violent events: foreign interventions, revolutions ad civil wars.
Toussaint, a Franco-Haitian patriot who has been hold accountable for
leading the slave revolt to a favorable ending, for the good of the
colony, has been overthrown by a French army sent by Napoleon Bonaparte.
The revolution that has followed has led to the massacres of the French
colonists, has severed the link of this country to this former colonial
power and has isolated the new nation from the rest of the world. Then a
succession of revolts and civil wars have followed which has finally led
to the flight of the best prepared elements of the nation - "the flight
of the brains" - and the expatriation of most of the elitist
class. The latter has now its assets mostly in European and North
American banks and is unwilling to invest in a country marked by
such an instability.
When Father Aristide took power, nobody has doubted of
its benevolent intentions, but the man was well known for his
unpreparedness to lead a nation and for his frivolous character.
Aristide, with his apparent charism, saw only
the militaries as blocking the progress of the nation. Was he right or
not is not a question of concern. His predecessor, Dr. Francois Duvalier,
did not trust either the militaries and build a militia to held them at
bay for the security of the government and the police of the nation.
Father Aristide has disliked the terrifying militia, the "tonton
macoutes", Duvalier has put in place, so he decided to rule with gangs'
groups which were less powerful than an organized popular militia, but
powerful enough to prevent a violent overthrow of his government, till
anarchy prevailed and fight broke among those. Duvalier forced the
elitist class to include more students of the lower classes in the
professional schools, Aristide, who has been
reluctant to use force, build new professional schools in this
country that could not absorb most of the professionals it had formed,
adding up to a confusion. Duvalier taxed the elite heavily to hold
its administration and its social rule in place, Aristide ruled with
perversion (voluntarily or involuntarily) and without a definite
program of development, practicing a policy of laxness ("lesse
grennen") of one of his predecessors.(posted this

WAS PRESIDENT ARISTIDE PLAYING THE FOOL TO PILE UP,
WITH HIS WIFE AS A PARTICIPANT OBSERVER, A FORTUNE UPON THE BACK OF HIS
FELLOW CITIZEN OR WAS HE REALLY A FOOL?
With Psychonalysis and Client Centered Therapy, psychotherapy has become
more and more a reality and has offered a more human approach to the
therapy of the psychoses and lesser behavioral problems. The later one -
Client Centered Therapy or Rogerian
Therapy - asks for better communication between the therapist
and the sick. It calls for empathy, a
benevolent attitude of the therapist to be able to curb the sick behavior
of the client (cf.: Dr. Qualo, R.; Impressions et
It calls also for congruence, an attitude which puts the
therapist in a position almost equal to the patient and asks the former to
behave almost as a friend of the latter.
So far I knew, father Aristide has been seen by some psychotherapists,
once upon a time, during his reign. The concern was his bizarre
behavior at San Juan Bosco church where he was a vicar and his
imprudent language that was inconsistent with that of a man of the
church. After father Aristide has been overthrown by a military push, he
was in exile in the U.S. where he met, under the presidency of the
democrat, Mr. William (Bill) Clinton, his future wife. Soon after this
encounter, Mr. Clinton and the American congress pressed the Haitian
militaries to step down and returned father Aristide to power in Haiti,
seemingly being more sure of him and of his intentions not to turn against
them, a sharp turn in their previous policy.
However, it was a different administration, the
precedent one having been that of the republican opponents. Nevertheless,
there are serious concerns about changing abruptly the policy of a nation.
Thus, I conclude that father Aristide was in good hands, those of
his naturalized, American citizen wife and a former employee of the U.S.
government. Father Aristide stopped delivering harsh speeches against
the U.S.A. and his wife brought him two children. For a while,
father Aristide was not in power, leaving the task to one of his closest
associates, the social democrat and former student in communist Soviet
Union Rene Preval. I wrote to Mr. Preval two times and he was kind to
have answered me the first time.
When father Aristide came back to power in this poor
country which is Haiti, he, first, refused to bend to the demand of the
electoral council which wanted to review parts of the voting process and
has even menaced his leader, the judge Leon Manus with these words,
"il y aura mort d'hommes," "there can be violence and killings if those
votes are contested." What prompted the German ambassador to help Mr.
Manus leave the country. I met Mr. Manus, in New York, at Ms. Georgette
Bellefong's apartment and he looked to be a very poised and sincere
person to my eyes.
With a new administration, a republican one this time,
the policy of the United States government changed again in regard to
Haiti. General Colin Powell was named Secretary of state and was a friend
of the deposed general Cedras at West Point. Father Aristide began,
once again, giving signs of inflexibility and make a diplomatic
blunder by pressing France to pay back the huge sum Haiti has paid to
"her" to have it abandoned its claim for its former colony and have it
recognized the small nation as a free and independent country. Recently,
the new prime minister who replaced Aristide at the head of this nation
said that he abandoned this claim but added that France has a duty in
regard to their former colony. However, such an ethic cannot be accounted
for since the former French colonists were all massacred by the Haitian
army after the independence of this nation.
Finally, father Aristide was overthrown by a powerful coalition made of his former
associated gangs which turn against him, the opposition of the local
elitist classes (students, professionals and businessmen), military rebel
opponents who came from the U.S., and the neighboring Dominican Republic
and political pressure from both the U.S. and French governments.
However, before that, he shot his wife at the legs accidentally for
some, voluntarily for those who know about the vodoo
myths to which he has adhered after having being rejected by the
Vatican and the local superiors of the Catholic church. He left the
country in ruin but with a fortune within his hands.

SOME WORDS ABOUT THE THEOLOGY OF LIBERATION
I was introduced to the Theology of Liberation by the nephew of Mrg.
Constant, in Haiti, who showed me the book of father Leonard Boff which I
borrowed from him, for a while. I was somewhat disgusted by the point of
view of father Boff that I found too radical, but when I red father
Guchieriez which is more conservative, I got a better idea.
Succinctly, the theology of liberation is this
philosophy that call for the Catholics to fight the advance of
Protestantism in America, by taking public, social actions and by getting
closer to the poor, by listening to their claims.
The big problem with this theology is the way some
fervent leaders want to apply it to politics. Indeed, when it comes to
the ruling of a nation or to public decisions that will affect the
population of a country, the theology of liberation, because it calls for
sectarism, is not applicable and any religious leader, if he is not an
extremist, shall not pay attention to it. Being a Christian, I will say,
let us apply the lessons of Christ and let us consider "all men as the
sons of God" and fight sectarism. (Posté ce 22 mai

FIN AUX COMERAGES - LES CRITIQUES INJUSTIFIÉES DE MELLE. JACQUELINE THOMAS
CONTRE MR.
nation.
