In this ethical page I will try to be positive and not rely on criticism unless I found it strictly necessary.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH OUR DOMESTIC POLICY TODAY?
Everything or nearly everything was going well was going well when President Bill Clinton left power. Suddenly, everything came to work in a erratic manner with the new administration.
The U.S. uses or imports 9 millions barrels of crude oil a day, or almost 3 billions a year, compare to China's import of 15 millions, last year. The U.S. reserve of crude oil is mostly in Alaska, but, due to environmental concern, this will be difficult to exploit since crude oil is a bad pollutant of the environment. No rationing is to be considered since this will not be a good means to boost the economy. So other means are to be used to continue such an extravagant import and use of crude oil. Life has become expensive in the U.S. but the revenue per capita has risen sharply. Without the revenue coming from the taxation the country urgently needs to define a new policy to continue its big expenses. The best would have to find a new source of energy that can replace advantageously the crude oil. However, the later is relatively cheap and not in shortage, at least for the next one hundred years, so the U.S. will take a good advantage of mother nature.
THE USE OF MILITARY POWER FOR DISARMAMENT, WHAT IS TO BE THOUGHT?
Against a terrorsit country or a country that gives its support to terrorism, the use of military power is totally justified. The arab or any religious fundamenatist leader is making a big mistake to think that he will be in safe heaven while being a terrorist supporter hiding behind the so-called national sovereignty. However, the use of military power cannot be justified as a preventive measure against any particular and hostile but otherwise non belligerent* country or any country that has a political system different from ours to prevent it from developing arms of massive destruction. General disarmament with the disarming of all the countries in the world is the policy to look for. This is my opinion, it is not of a politician but it is my ethics.
