this as an audience recording. My source lists this as a soundboard,
and it clearly sounds like one. The sound level is low during the first
track, but rises to a consistent level during the second track. Overall
a very good recording, there are (what sounds like) a few brief loses
of signal on the last few tracks, also there's the occasional guitar
cord being pulled from an amp, etc, nothing horrible." - Source:

Third - OOP third LP also
known as The St. Louis Hounds - When the third album was recorded,
the band was still called Pavlov's Dog and was under contract to Columbia.
After the album was completed, Columbia Records cut the band from its
list and put the album on the shelf, never to be released. Each member
of the band received a 1/4" reel-to-reel tape copy of the master to take
home after the album was completed. Several members of the band bootlegged
the third album on vinyl over the years. This is a solid vinyl transfer.

release of their 2nd single, the immortal Final Solution/
Cloud 149. Hear the audience yell for Do Wah Diddy! Hear
Peter tell jokes! Hear the jukebox play Daniel! Hear
David tell someone they've got to move their car! Ripped
from tape to CD by the Rev Marc Time from a 2nd gen tape
(I've probably got the 1st gen somewhere) - however,
as a warning, there's that dreaded tiny moment of silence
between tracks. There's tape hiss, but I'd give this

Complete
Set - A
gathering of a steady troupe of Ubu fans would congregate
every Thursday night come rain, snow or frozen pipes
to see Crocus Behemoth (David Thomas) and the gang play
some avant garde rock! This was one of many, many shows
I enjoyed at the Pirates Cove but the only one I have
recorded. This was a great show; early Pere Ubu classics.
The show was "special" because it featured
alternating sets of Ubu and a Los Angeles band, The Nerves.
The Nerves penned the Blondie hit "Hanging On A
Telephone" and featured non other than future Plimsoul
and solo artist Peter Case! The show was actually on
a Wednesday night, the following night Ubu performed
with Devo. Not the greatest quality, recorded at our
table and unfortunately ends abruptly during Final Solution
when the tape ran out, but I think it captures that time
in Cleveland perfectly. - Lineage:

This is one of the first gigs by the re-united "Original" Pirates
- Yes, as in "Johnny Kidd And The Pirates”.."Original" in
quotes as the early-60s Pirates left Johnny, and these guys are the
circa 1966 version.
I happened to see them supporting Eddie and the Hot Rods at this
gig, not knowing quite what to expect. What I got was the cookingest,
most relentless old-fashioned rock'n'roll band I've ever heard." - Source:

Live
At The Fillmore West - "Over
34 years old but a classic boot (tape hiss and all) -
I think the quality is pretty enjoyable
throughout - sort of like a favorite old cassette. According
to the historians, Messina's last show with the group
was at the Fillmore West on 10-31-70. Neil Young showed
up to watch Poco as Paul Cotton took over as the band’s
lead guitarist. Messina watched from the audience, and
flew back to LA the next day. " - Source:

- OOP third LP - vinyl transfer - features previously unreleased live,

inclinations that would be further explored on the 1979 debut album. Comes
