Complete Show - "This show is two hours of pure gravel-throated bliss. Tom begins the show during " Step Right Up" by asking the audience how much they paid to get in. He then promises them that they will not be disappointed....a promise to which he makes good. Though there are other versions of the song that rank with this one, it's certainly worth mentioning in the running as definitive. And that's only the beginning. The following medley with Tom solo on the piano from track 3 to track 7, contains a beautiful "Sight for Sore Eyes" that is one of the great moments chronicled in Tom's live shows. In fact much of this show features Waits sitting alone at the piano, crooning as the audience sits spellbound by his emotive performance. Tom's voice sounds consistently dynamic throughout the evening, switching easily between a deep growl and a soft high-pitched howl. The backing band plays it fairly conservative, though they do get rowdy a few times. For the most part, this one plays like an intimate evening between Tom and his audience more than a showcase of the a band. There is a great deal of crowd interaction on this one, including a short Q&A segment near the end. The sound is excellent as well, with some signature 1970's tape hiss, but overall very clean." - Lineage: SBD > ? > CDRx (clean) > EAC> WAV > dbPowerAmp > FLAC - Available in FLAC or Audio WAV

The other 18 became Chairs Missing, 154 and other singles.

Graham's Rehearsal Tape - "Pink Flag & Chairs Missing rough mixes,
plus rehearsals ca. 1980 & "40 Versions" -- 95 mins (std, aud) E to VG+ -- About 80% of this is rough mixes and outtakes from Pink Flag and Chairs Missing, often with scratch vocals and otherwise lacking production polish. The Chairs Missing material is more interesting, including "Underwater Experiences", and a very different "Heartbeat". Then there's an audience tape of a playback of "40 Versions" in the control room with the band and
engineers discussing the song. Lastly there are three songs from a late 1979 or 1980 rehearsal, including "Eels Sang Lino", "Cancel Your Order", and "Second Length" - Available De-Hissed (The hiss isn't that bad to begin with, but this is actually a good job noise reduction, which I usually don't espouse), or Raw

This has been one of my favorite shows since I first heard it. I've listened to other versions that are available and this one sounds better and it is complete. Other versions usually are missing the Julie Tippett songs and the stage announcements." -
