The Sons of Jah Acoustic Tape - "This tape starts off with Exodus that is probably from a different session, but it is included on here because it fits
in well and it is often included in most sources of this session. Sons of Jah is a tape that just sits with you forever. The sweet version of Waiting in Vain that last's 19 minutes is just stunning. Bob works with his voice so many different ways and by the end he is really in a great groove. Half way through So
Much Things To Say
there is a source switch. Another half of this tape was discovered a few years ago but someone has tampered with the sound. There is a strange echo and other effects added on but the music below is just amazing. Acoustic versions of Misty Morning and She's Gone have been a collector's dream for many years I am sure. The tape ends with an unknown jam that is possibly not even Bob, but who knows." - Source: ??? > CDR > EAC > WAV > SHN - Available in SHN or Audio WAV

Complete Show - "The Pub hadn't figured on the heat being a big problem this night. It was almost unbearable. It definitely affected the performance and the audience. Complete Set - 23:20 minutes - "MacKaye's pen pal Corey Rusk of the Necros arranged for the band to stay at his parents' house in Ohio, then they continued onto Chicago, where they had a gig at the seminal punk club O'Banion's. O'Banion's management almost canceled the show when they realized the band was under twenty-one, but MacKaye talked them into it, agreeing to make their young pals stay outside. 'We're all set up and right next to me was the exit to the street,' MacKaye recalls. 'We had already made a plan with everybody. We set up and I said 'Good evening, we're Minor Threat from Washington, DC' and thenI kicked the door open and everyone just ran in.""Local punk mainstay Santiago Durango [We can blame him for the poor mix] did sound for that show. 'They played and there were about five people there, but, boy, they blew the roof off that club,' says Durango, who later joined Big Black. 'I thought, 'Whoa, what energy, what...everything.' I thought, 'Holy shit, what am I doing playing music - these guys are just awesome!' They were very tight-knit - they brought their own little fans. At one point they thought that somebody had said something to them, so they all banded together and started chasing some phantoms down the street." - Lineage: ?gen cassette->wav->sound forge 4.5 [normalization, noise reduction]->cd wave [splits]->flac - Available in FLAC or Audio WAV

Second Fret Club - 72:00 minutes - "The dates on this two-CD compilation of unreleased live material are probably wrong -- in particular, it's doubtful that any of this originates from prior to 1967 -- but it's certainly all from the late '60s. In any case, these are historically important and quality acoustic solo performances worthy of attention by any serious Joni Mitchell fan. The sound is mostly clear and excellent, and the level of singing and musicianship is fine, comparable to the style heard on Mitchell's official solo debut album." ~ Richie Unterberger
