X-aspirations - Debut album now OOP. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, punk rockers X labored through a quintessential punk existence; banned from playing venues, harassed by the police, and suffering through several lineup changes — including the untimely death of guitarist Ian Krahe — they eventually achieved legendary status after years of performing.

Complete Show - "Although the sound of these two sets is not great (kind of echoey, big hall sound) and it was recorded with an analog cassette recorder, I think (and many have agreed) that these two sets are two of YLT's best, and most unique performances in their live catalog. The sound is "electro - acoustic", similar to the sound of YLT's in-store setup, but the arrangements are more complex and interpretations are unique to this performance. The masters were copied and edited by Mike Edmonson, who improved on the sound of the master cassettes."- Source: Aiwa JS445 walkman w/Sony ECM-MS907 mic - Lineage: Mike's re-masters were extracted from CD-R with EAC in secure mode. Complete Show - 195:11 minutes with DAVID KILGOUR, and special guests JON BENJAMIN and JON GLASER - "David Kilgour played with Yo La Tengo the whole time. No opening act. This is the complete set. Unfortunately, it was the first time I used this minidisc recorder, and I must not have set the input levels properly, because the louder songs are clipped and sound all blown out. They're not a complete loss, though. The quieter songs sound great. The theater was projecting the second Bush/Kerry presidential debate onstage before the band started, and I recorded part of it. I edited together three minutes of that as an introduction. From Bush saying "I vowed the the American People" on is unedited." - Source: Recorded by Brandon on a Sony MZ-NH900 portable minidisc recorder (in Hi-SP mode) with binaural cardoid microphones analog-transfer to PC edited and volume-adjusted in Cool Edit Pro - Available in FLAC or Audio WAV

They're not a complete loss, though. The quieter songs sound great. I was front & center during the first seven songs, and couldn't hear the vocals very well. They got much louder when I moved. Also, I wandered off and talked over Ira during track 8. Didn't notice the disc had run out, so I lost the end of "Deeper Into Movies", and about half of a roaring loud "Little Honda". There are no missing songs in between those two. If burning this to audio CDs, I suggest beginning the discs with tracks 1, 16 and 29." - Recorded by Brandon on a Sony MZ-NH900 portable minidisc recorder (in Hi-SP mode) with binaural cardoid microphones analog-transfer to PC edited and volume-adjusted in Cool Edit Pro- Available in FLAC or Audio WAV
