The bass boost was done because it was almost non-existent in the recording, it's still a little light, but I didn't want to mess with the recording too much. There are a couple periodic pops that may be from the master, but I'm not positive. There are not any fades except at the start of the show and at the end, and it is a complete show." - Source: SBD > MD > ? > CDR > CDR > EAC v0.95b04 > WAV > SoundForge (dEdit/EQ bass boost) > CD Wave (tracking) > FLAC frontend - Available as FLAC or Audio WAV

* Y3LP - This anonymous and hopelessly OOP record (it's been referred to as Official Bootleg, Retrospective, Untitled, and Once Upon a Time in a Living Room) is, in some respects, the quintessential punk rock statement. The album sleeve is plain, white cardboard; the song titles are scribbled haphazardly on the center label . Complete Set - Recorded from Swedish national radio, SR, on March 7, 2002. It is by no means a (seemless) recording: 1. SR enters sound jingles during the concert to promote the program, the channel etc. But most has been filtered off. 2. The tracklist has 3 'interludes' listed where I stopped the cd-burner for the clapping. Some of the other statring points for tracks are a bit off the edge as well - Very good sound..

Roxy Night - The Crystal Cat silver bootleg release, "Roxy Night", CC 342/43/44 - "FM Broadcast. Live broadcast on KMET radio in Los Angeles, CA and another contender for best show ever. Premieres of "Point Blank," "Rave On," and "Independence Day," which is performed solo on piano for only time on the tour. "Point Blank" features different lyrics to later versions and is played slightly differently. Several songs from this show are later used on the Live 75-85 CD set; unfortunately, the edits in "Growin' Up" and, most notably, "Backstreets" show how much tinkering was done in the studio in preparation for that release. Once a person hears the unedited version of "Backstreets," they realize how disappointing the Live set actually was. Thus, this show must be heard in its unedited entirety. Available on CDs "Roxy Night" and "Hands Across the Sky." - Includes bonus trracks on disc three from; Tracks 6-12 Civic Center, Saginaw, MI 09/03/78 - FM Broadcast > Silver CD > EAC > Wav > CDR

The stretch run of the Darkness tour featured several differences from early in the tour, most notably Bruce's regular inclusion of "The Fever" and "Point Blank," as well as opening the second set with "The Ties That Bind." This show is another nomination for greatest show of all time, and another show with which you should start your collection. The performances of "Prove It All Night," "The Promised Land," and "Backstreets" are some of the best of all time. Available on the CDs 'Winterland Night' and 'Live in the Promised Land." - Includes bonus trracks on disc three from; Tracks 10-12 Paramount Theater, Seattle, WA 06/25/78; Tracks 13-16 Masonic Temple Auditorium, Detroit, MI 09/01/78 - FM Broadcast > Silver CD > EAC > Wav > CDR

Rock Goes to College - Complete Set - "Here's a nice one for all you stranglers fans out there , this is a soundboard/FM recording of the infamous appearance on the BBC program rock goes to college. What happened was that they were booked to appear on the show where bands were filmed and broadcast live on TV and radio
playing at universities/colleges. They agreed to do it only on the understanding that non-students would be allowed in. When they got there they found that it was only students so they played 2 songs and walked off leaving the BBC with lots of dead air to fill. The first 3 songs of this set were not broadcast only tracks 5 and 6 were actually aired. This is worth hearing if only for the comments made by Hugh Cornwell my favourite is "have you got got your crackerjack pencils?.....then stick'um up your arses"............A comedy classic."

"The house lights had come on, the PA was playing exit music and much of the crowd had emptied out of the venue(including the taper) when Joe suprised everyone by coming back on one more time!! Taper proceeded to get back into his spot quickly but you'll hear his journey back to the sweet spot--just be glad he wasn't already on the subway. This is truly a top notch audience recording especially considering the venue. It really captures the flavor of the evening while keeping the music phat, and full-bodied. This was EQ'd by the taper to sound exactly like the room that night and I have to admit it really brought out the best in these mics. This was also the last time any of us saw Joe alive, and we'd kinda like to think of this a tribute to his lasting creativity and passion."

Signal Hill, CA
Complete Show (?) - 60:49 minutes - Sound: Good > Good (+) - No hiss at all, but there is some occasional (old) tape quaver & wow - not too bad though. This is a very early set, and finds the Lawns doing several adventurous cover versions of tunes from Roy Orbitson's, Pretty Woman (Played at punk speed) to The Seeds, Pushin' Too Hardin in a small dive. There is only a bizarre take on My Boyfriend at the end of Set One to give you a compass bearing. Set One seems to be complete, but Set Two is open to debate...my guess is probably - a rough and ready listen, but well worth the effort - a very rare document of an unfortunately obscure band - Audience Master Recording > ?(very low generation) > Cassette > wav> CDR > EAC Secure > FLAC Frontend (8) - Available as FLAC or Audio WAV

Complete Show (?) - 37:23 minutes - Sound: Good - This is a live gig, but the copy I received says it's from Lawn Studio,...whatever that is. The Lawns recorded some material at the Oxygen Lawn Studio, but this is definately not from a studio. This one starts out with the boys in the band doing mostly new material with which I'm unfamilar. It's pretty good stuff, but then Sue Tissue comes out for the final five cuts - WOW! This is the Suburban Lawns that I knew and loved! Kiss the Stone - "From the 1993 tour in support of Mr. Sweet's 'Altered Beast' album. The show features one Mr. Richard Lloyd in fine, fine form.
'Altered Beast' was the follow-up to the acclaimed 'Girlfriend' album, both of
which also featured Mr. R Lloyd on lead guitar, as does last year's Japanese
album release, Kimi ga suki * Raifu (due for a broader international release later this year, I believe), which saw the line-up that recorded the 'Girlfriend' album reunited for the first time.
