Welcome to OTHER WORLDS. This is a collection of writing by people other than myself, both stories and commentary. You can also access the responses to my fiction challenges. I have picked these works because I find them particularly amusing, or moving, or inciteful. I hope you enjoy them as well.
This archive does not accept unsolicited submissions, as this is not a general fanfiction archive. But I do publish all challenge responses.

Angharad-

History Is Made at Night (2 parts) - A Spike origin story. Although the show has since shot all our wonderful theories to Hell, this is an interesting take on how William became a vampire, with some nice Spike/Dru moments.

Both Sides Now (2 parts) - Another wacky spell hits Sunnydale. Nice sly humor. Just read it.

The Johnny York series- An interesting original character with special connections to the gang. Early season 3 in the timeline, except the last, which is season 4.
The Rites of Spring (3 parts)
Atonement and Blood (2 parts)
The Undead Scare (2 parts)
Paradise City (3 parts)
A Cold and Broken Hallelujah (3 parts)

Anthony-

Hypertime and Buffy the Vampire Slayer: An explanation of "Normal Again" (non-fiction) - So, what happened? Which is the "real world" and which is the "hallucination"? Anthony explains how they can both be real.

Enigma-

A Journal Entry - Buffy P.O.V.; Short but poignant.

Redemption - A perspective on what Angel's ultimate reward really will be.

My Life - Xander's P.O.V.; A look at Xander's thoughts about his role in the Slayer's life.

Don't Cry for Me (poem)

Quiet (poem)

Real World Perspective on Spike's Brain Chip (non-fiction) - Enigma, who in "real life" makes brain chips (really!) talks about how to bring back the Big Bad.

Jody E. (JodithGrace)-

Love at Stake - Buffy/Spike. Takes place after "Listening to Fear." Spike helps Buffy with her homework and they talk.

December 19, 2000 - I'm not sure if this is fanfic, exactly, but it's fun, and an unusual approach to the Buffy-verse.

Overtime - Spike again. Takes place after "Triangle." The blond vampire takes a job on Xander's construction crew. But why?

War and Peace - Takes place during "Checkpoint." While Spike looks after Dawn, they start talking. Neat all-dialogue piece.

The Magic Box Redux - Takes place after "The Body." Spike stops by with information, and the gang breaks the news to him.

A Little Distance - Set five years in the future. Things have changed in the meantime.

Swirly Head-

Written in Charcoal (4 parts) - Buffy/Spike (sort of); The Slayer faces an ancient evil, but she may have to join with her arch-nemesis to defeat it. This is a very poignant story, yet doesn't skimp on the action.

Letters - Buffy/Spike (again, sort of); Correspondence between the Slayer and the Big Bad. By turns funny, moving, and poignant. A really beautiful story. [Warning: Character death.]

Wwolfe-

Read wwolfe's episode analyses of "Buffy" at his West Coast Review Archive

The Man Who Owned Los Angeles - Wwolfe's response to the 2001 Halloween challenge. A beautiful, heartbreaking, brilliant work. If you read nothing else on this site, read this story.

Lost and Gone Forever, Dreadful Sorr
y - What happened to Riley in the jungles of Belize, deliberately evocative of another war in another jungle. An amazing story, even if you're not a Riley fan, well worth reading.

...Still I Have the Warmth of the Su
n - Still on his vision quest, Oz learns about the downside of an Endless Summer.

Wide Awake in Dreamlan
d - Wwolfe's passions for Buffy and Rock-and-Roll come together at last! Cordelia meets a "specialist."

VH-1's Behind the Music: The Seven Dwarve
s - A spoof of the VH-1 series featuring the animated dwarves. More of Wwolfe's brilliant satire.

Spike Gets Cable - An answer to a posting board challenge.

Democracy in Action - One of two answers to a posting board challenge. "What would have happened if one moment in a character's life were different." This story looks at hizzoner Mayor Wilkins.

Like a Drifter, I Was Born to Walk Alone - The second answer to the same challenge, also answering that age-old question, what *did* happen to Buffy's dad?

From the new issue of Phangoria: Exclusive interview with Cordy's Shaft o' Light!! - Meet this rising new star!

Crying, but my Tears are Far Away - After the events in "Grave," Willow searches for closure and release.

Christmas with the Firsts - The First Evil (and family) celebrates.

She Only Sleeps on Planes - More of Anya's backstory, setting her at another historical tragedy.

Wither and Die - Angel in 1950s Los Angeles. A response to a Fic Challenge on the Cross and Stake.

NEW! Wasted and I Can't Find My Way Home - What became of Lorne after the events in "Not Fade Away."

The 'Felicity' Trilogy (plus one) - A word of explanation. We Buffy and Angel fans are extremely protective of our favorite shows. We just think they're the greatest shows on TV and can't for the life of us understand why everyone else can't see it, too. Often this gets up our competitive streak. When "Felicity" debuted on the WB and got scads of press, a lot of us Buffy fans felt slighted. Like the red-headed stepchild, as it were. So we directed our annoyance at "Felicity." One result was this series by Wwolfe. Even if you're a "Felicity" fan, I think you'll find them amusing.
