Keri Russell (playing both the good and evil Felicity) opens her roommate's locked jewelry box, where she finds one of Johnny Ramone's old guitar picks and wishes, "Gee, I wish I could be a punk rocker, like those neat guys, the Ramones!" The fun really begins when, later that night, another Felicity, clad in black leather, strides into the library study area and shouts, "Gabba Gabba Hey!!" to the shocked students. Everything works out for the best by the end, when Evil Felicity sings "I Wanna Be Sedated" with the reunited Ramones at CBGB's. A beaming Miss Russell said, "I'm thrilled at this chance to grow as an actress." The episode, initially planned for the all-important May sweeps period, was postponed by the WB, which expressed concern that teenagers across America might be influenced to wear ripped T-shirts and play three-chord rock songs at excessively high rates of speed. The episode was shown in Canada, an action that was explained by an anonymous WB executive, who said, "We show stuff in Canada?" The WB has received some criticism for its decision to air the episode, but network executives defended the decision. Jamie Kellner, president of the WB, said the network was justified in promoting the punk-themed show, saying, "If mistakes were made, they were made on the side of moshin'."
