Powers: Storm manipulates the weather. She can generate gale-force winds, lightning strikes, and can fly. She is very powerful, and her powers also tied to her emotions: the madder she is, the more powerful she is. Also, Storm is trained as a thief, able to pick-pocket and pick locks.

Origin: A young girl in Egypt, Storm was buried alive with her dead parents by a collasping building, when a runaway plane crashed. Since then, a terrible claustraphobia has controlled her. Now homeless and alone, she was taken in by the Urchins, a band of children thieves. Eventually, she left Cairo for the plains of the Serengeti. There, her powers manifested and she learned to control them with the help of Ainet, a village sorceress. Storm was worshipped as a goddess of nature, until the day that Professor Charles Xavier came to her to tell her what she really was: a mutant.

History: Following Xavier back to the states, Storm became part of the second generation of X-Men. Rescuing the orginal X-Men, Storm and her new teammates and friends now embodied Xavier's dream of peace. These new X-Men faced powerful foes, like the Sentinels and Proteus.
However, their greatest battle was that with the Dark Phoenix, the woman they believed to be their friend, Jean Grey. Jean was Storm's best friend, and when Jean sacrificed herself to save the universe, Storm was deeply wounded.
But she would not have any time to recover. Cyclops, Jean's lover, would leave the X-Men, and Storm would be named the team's new leader. She would lead the X-Men for many years, through many incarnations.
She then faced the loss of her powers. Struck by a power-negating bullet, Storm's powers were stripped from her. Taking refugee in Forge's home, the two became close, until the fact that Forge had designed the bullet that had taken powers came to light. Storm left Forge, and returned to the X-Men.
Storm led the X-Men, even without her powers. Eventually, she battled the Callisto and Morlocks, a race of underground mutants. Besting Callisto in combat, Storm won the leadership of the Morlocks. She was now responsible for the lives of the X-Men and the Morlocks.
Eventually, Forge created a cure for Storm's powers, and she finally was given them back. She and Forge's relationship blossomed, but it was put on hold, when the X-Men faced the Maruaders, who were murdering the Morlocks. The X-Men, X-Factor, and Thor faced the Maruaders, but were almost defeated. Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, and Angel were gravely injured, and the Morlocks were nearly wiped out.
Soon, the X-Men would face another trajedy, as they faced the Adversary, a dark god from Forge's past. Storm and Forge were exiled to a paradise, and their relationship reached its peak. However, the X-Men were forced to sacrifice their lives to stop the Adversary, and Storm was gone.
But Roma, a goddess of life, gave them their life back. Placing them in Australia, the X-Men now operated in secret, with the world believing them dead. Storm remained as the team's leader, but the team would slowly been shattered, as Rogue vanished, and the Reavers came to reclaim the base that had been theirs. The X-Men revealed themselves to be alive, and they returned to the mansion.
The X-Men regrouped, and Storm and Cyclops now shared leadership postions, with Professor X back from space. Storm and Forge's relationship was put on hold, when he left the mansion with the insane Mystique.  However, Storm then faced the terror of Mikhail Rasputin, as he murdered the rest of the Morlocks, by drowning the tunnels where they lived. Storm was devastated.
Then, months later, Storm faced what the Morlocks had become: Gene Nation. The Morlock children were now grown through the power of dimensional warping, and Storm was forced to rip out the heart of Marrow.
But Marrow was revealed to be alive, the product of having two hearts. And with the distance between herself and Forge, Storm grew close to Cable and the two shared a brief dallianace. Also, Storm again faced Mikhail Rasputin, this time learning that he had created Gene Nation. She bested him, and returned to the X-Men.
Today, Storm has taken a portion of the X-Men on a journey to find the diaries of Destiny, the books of fate that reveal the past and future of the X-Men. The team, operating without the knowledge of the other X-Men, is still led by Storm.
