Storm, Colossus, & Rogue vs. the Dire Wraiths

Plot -
Storm, after recently losing her powers, spent time with her lover, the maker, Forge.
However, Storm found out that the gun that stole her powers was designed by Forge. Feeling
betrayed, Storm left Forge's complex, into a storm raging outside. However, back inside,
the aliens called Dire Wraiths make their entrance, taking out one of the guards. Outside,
Storm herself is confronted by one of the evil beings, but manages to escape, running back
to Forge's complex. Finding the guard's gun, she uses it to slay the Wraith. with
unexpected help from Forge's mentor, the Shaman Naze. Calling up Forge's penthouse, Storm
tries to warn her lover, but may not be any use, as the Wraiths are already there. Storm
arms herself with one of Naze's guns, revealing that Wolverine had taught her how to fire
before she lost her powers. They try to reach Forge through the elevator, but are attacked
by Wraith dog, but Naze manages to nail it before it kills them. In the elevator, however,
Storm is thrown upwards by a dangling cable. Even without her powers, she manages to save
herself. Below, Naze frees himself, and attempts a spell to back off the Wraiths. Storm
reaches the roof, only to find another Wraith and mutated dog. Using a girter, she flings
the dog off the roof, racing the Wraith itself. The Wraith tries to take her form, but
Naze's power prevails, sending Naze, Storm, Forge, and the Wraith into a world of pain.
Escaping, Storm finally reaches Forge, helping him to defeat more of the Wraith's
creatures. During the battle, Naze reaches the former lovers, and Rogue and Colossus make
their entrance, smashing through Forge's roof. But the Wraiths continue their advance,
while Naze continues to call upon his master. The X-Men make short work of the aliens, and
Forge finishes them off, using a hologram of ROM, spaceknight, and Starshine. The Wraiths
are defeated, but a shadowform appears without warning, and captures our heroes! |
