Plot -
As her wedding day unfolds, Jean opens a letter from the absent Wolverine. Jean, her
mother Elaine, Storm, and Jean's daughter from an alternate future, Rachel Summers,
Phoenix, all help Jean make sure her gown is perfect. Meanwhile, down the hall, the boys
are readying Scott for the wedding. His oldest friends, Warren, Bobby, and Hank, and his
brother, Alex, are all getting ready for the big day. They are having problems with the
bow tie, but Xavier floats into the room and saves the day. And the gang heads off to the
ceremony. On the way there, however, the Professor stops to pick up the letter from
Wolverine he got, but before he can, Rachel swoops in and picks it up. Just outside, all
of the extended X-family, including X-Factor, Excalibur, and X-Force are there, along with
Scott's grandparents, Jean's parents, and Jean's niece and nephew. Storm signals the band,
led by interstellar rock star Lila Cheney, and makes her way down the isle. She consoles
Scott, but his eyes are taken back to the aisle, where Jean and her father make their
triumphant appearance. The ceremony goes off without a hitch, and the two kiss. While they
share their first dance as husband and wife, just outside their reach, the evil Sabretooth
lurks, but finds that Wolverine is somewhere waiting for him. The X-Men and their
associates mingle, including Havok and his paramour Polaris, Wolfsbane and her old New
Mutants teammate Rictor, and the government agent Valerie Cooper and the fugitive Cable.
The bouquet is tossed, with Rogue flying up to get the reward, while Gambit blows away the
competition for the garter. While the couple cuts the cake, their children, aged due to
the wonders of time travel, Rachel and Cable, look on. Then, for the last dance, Jean
saves it for one special man: Xavier himself. Using her powers, she lifts him out of the
wheelchair and into the air to dance the night away. Jean and Scott say their good-byes
and head off for their honeymoon, while Xavier finally opens Wolverine's letter. It reads:
