Plot -
In another reality, where Storm and Colossus of the X-Men became Avengers, a Kang
counterparts try to kill the President and the Avengers in one swoop and he does so. But
he is suddenly pulled from his reality into another, to face the Council of Kangs, a group
of alternate reality Kangs who have banded togather towards the goal of conquering
all-time. But one Kang is trying to outwit the others, slowly killing off each Kang,
one-by-one. Back in normal reality, the Wasp wades through a sea of protestors who have
discovered Namor has joined the Avengers. Shrinking to wasp-size, she escapes the crowd,
finding Jarvis not far within the mansion. Remembering the Avengers remodeling, she heads
down to the lower basements to talk with the Black Knight and Hercules. Suddenly, the
Knight's machine begins to glow and he, Hercules, and the Wasp are sucked into some sort
of dimensional flux. Meanwhile, out on the open sea, Captain America and Captain Marvel
have a heart-to-heart about CM's life as an Avenger and Namor's life. CM tells Cap her
real name (Monica Rambeau), finally finding someone within the Avengers she feels she can
trust. But when Namor returns, Cap wonders how long it will be before Monica can tell
Namor that same secret. Back in the dimensional flux, the Avengers encounter duplicates of
the orginal Avengers and are forced to fight. They defeat the doppelangers, just in time
for Kang to make an appearance. The Avengers defeat him, and soon find he is only a
robotic duplicate. Confused, the Avengers are trapped. Back in Limbo, the real Kang
reveals to Ravonna, his lover, his plan: to use the Avengers to destroy his last alternate
reality counterpart! |
