Plot -
The Avengers are the center of publicity as the FAA has stopped their use of Quinjets in
the city of New York. Other problems seem to abounding as well, with Starfox leaving and
Captain America's position in the team called into question. Also, the Avengers have to
deal with the problem of the Beyonder's return. Scouring through the piles and piles of
mail, coming from towns that want the Avengers, the Wasp comes across a place where the
Avengers might actually be able to live. Traveling to Hydrobase, the huge floating vessel
designed to look like an actual island, the Avengers meet up with Walter and Diane Newell,
who run the island. But while there, Namor, the Sub-Mariner, shows up. During the tour,
Hercules sneaks away to confront the pained former ruler of Atlantis and goads him into a
fight. The two continue to fight back and forth until Captain Marvel manages to seperate
them. Soon, Hercules reveals why he attacked Namor: because he wanted to prove to Namor
that he was still worthy of being called a hero. By the campfire that night, the Avengers
and Newells make an agreement to move the Quinjets to Hydrobase and Captain America offers
Namor the chance to become the newest Avenger, which Namor quickly accepts! |
