Cyclops and Phoenix vs. Apocalypse

Plot -
The X-Men, including Magneto, Polaris, and Fez, arrive in Egypt, hoping to stop Apocalypse
before his plans come to fruitation. However, Apocalypse sends out his forces in droves to
stop the X-Men's momentum, quickly destroying their aircraft. Then, to make matters worse,
Apocalypse's main henchmen, the Horsemen, begin to pick off the members of the Twelve from
the X-Men's midsts. The Professor is the first one taken, by Caliban, now called
Pestilence, and the mysertious Famine. Magneto falls prey next, taken by two Skrulls
posing as Astra and Joseph. Then, Apocalypse continues to pull on the X-Men's emotions, as
Bishop, the time lost X-Man, appears in the middle of the battlefield. His appearance
confuses the X-Men, and shortly after, a group of Skrulls taking on the forms of Gen X and
X-Force arrive. Beast derives a special gas, making those Skrulls to be revealed, but show
that this Bishop is the real thing. However, Polaris is the next to fall prey, as a Skrull
appears in Havok's form. Not thinking, Polaris goes to embrace him. Phoenix, seeing
through the ruse, tries to stop her, but in the end, both are taken captive. Cyclops has
an outburst, and is tricked by a Skrull posing as Colossus, who appears to have been
wounded by Cyclops's blast. He is taken captive. Then, Deathbird, now calling herself War,
attacks the quickly dimishing group. Storm is taken by a Cannonball imposter, before she
can even fight back. And Deathbird gets away with the last of the Twelve, Bishop. Now,
that he has what he wants, Apocalypse turns the table on the remaining X-Men (Rogue,
Gambit, Beast, Colossus, Fez, and Marrow), sending out the call to kill them! Back inside
the citadel, Apocalypse reveals his plan to the Twelve (including the already captured
Mikhail, Sunfire, Iceman, Monolith, and Cable) that their lives will open enough power so
that Apocalypse can fuse his essence with that of Nate Grey, the X-Man. Back at the
mansion, Moria tells the X-Men there (Archangel, Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, Jubilee,
Psylocke, and Wolverine) someone has been downloading the X-Men's data, specifically, the
Xavier Protocols! So, this group runs off the stop the intruder and get to Egpyt, before
its too late! |
