Against Protoss - Spawn templars, ensnare goons, upgrade overlord sight against cosairs. Use devourers and hydras against cosairs. Lurkers are wonderful as long as they don't get webbed. Guardians are practically useless when there are cosairs. Send a few scourges against arbiters. Plaguing them works too. Use swarm against carriers. If you manage to put 2 lurkers behind their mining area, it becomes very difficult to kill them if they don't have observers yet. Mutas are very good against goons if you use them correctly. Goons only do 10 damage to mutas. You'll need support units for the mutas like zerglings. If you get dt/cosair rushed, you will probably die. Make sure you have an evolution chamber somewhere and unmorphed colonies. Morph them into spores and keep your overlords nearby if they are still alive. When running away, make your overlords run in different directions so the splash damage won't get your other overlords.
Against Terran - Spawn/ensnare infantry. Ensnaring infantry is very useful. This is especially true if you catch medics in the slime. They won't be able to move fast enough to heal the units. Plague science vessels. Then, finish them with a few mutas. Separate your irradiated units quickly so they don't infect nearby units. Better yet, run them into your enemy. They will act as a lure and if they get through, they will damage infantry. Swarm/crackling is most effective against terran. This will get you through pretty much anything. This even kills a tank push.
Against Zerg - Fighting zerg is almost like hitting a mirror. Since zerg is the brute force race of the game, expect your opponent to counter you with whatever you are using. If you make hydras, they will too. If you make cracklings with swarm, they will too. It is best to just make every unit you can and just ensnare all the enemies. Guardians do wonders to hydras that have been ensnared. Once they decide to swarm, send in you lings. Spawning an ultralisk is the easiest and quickest way to kill it.
