Advanced Units
High Templar - One of the weakest units in the game and also the most feared. Storm can wipe out big chunks of an army very quickly. Hallucination is fairly useless. These should be morphed into archons in a battle when they run out of energy.
Dark Archon> - Less used compared to the templars. It is a large unit and crowds up the battle field. On top of that, maelstrom has very short range. You have to get it to the front lines to use. Feedback doesn't guarantee much of an effect especially if the advanced unit targeted has little energy.
Cosair - One of the best support units in the game. A mere 12 or so of these will make mutas and wraiths not even count as units. It has huge splash damage and webbing will eliminate the threat of other ranged units like tanks.
Arbiter - Most people use this for the wrong reason. Those people just think it's cool to cloak their units and recall them. Stasis is far more useful than any other ability in the game.
Observers - Few people actually upgrade the speed and site range. They are both very useful.
Reavers - Reavers, just like siege tanks are precision units. Don't let they sit around and randomly attack. Aim for the clusters of units. It's a waste of splash damage to kill a single ling attacking it. Retreat with the reavers once they have no more scarabs. Send them back to the battle lines after they restore their supply. A reaver with no scarabs will take forever to shoot. It has to wait till each one is built. If you are attacking, your reavers will mindlessly walk toward the enemy as it refills its scarab supply.
Carriers - This is purely a support unit. Newbies think it is strong and build about 20 of these to attack. Those can be destroyed almost instantly by a group of 30 goons or hydras. The almost experts think they are crap and it is true. But that is when they are used by themselves. An expert using carriers will badly molest an opponent and they will be helpless because of the carrier's range. These must be backed up by cosairs' webbing and perhaps an addition of zealots and goons. A few arbiters with stasis will allow the carriers to take on anything. Carriers should only be used by experts. It was not intended for newbies to brute force with it.
