| May 26, 2005 - Isla Mujeres, Mexico Feliz Cumplianos Sarah (Happy Birthday Chappy!) We have happily made it back to North America, well Mexico, if that count's. Its been about a month since I last made an entry (due largely to running out of storage and not having a means to purchase more with only an emergency credit card). We left Guatemala about a week ago and landed in Playa Del Carmen (or just Playa as it`s known to the locals, a term used loosely as they are all from elsewhere too). Since leaving the 3rd world we have managed to curtail our sun bathing activities long enough to Snorkel, Cave Dive, Shop and mock American Tourists (it's so easy it's wrong). Its an incredible difference coming from Central America to the developed world of Playa, full of boutique shops with fat Americans wearing sombreros and shirts with humorous slogans like "1Tequila, 2 Tequila, 3 Tequila, Floor", carrying souvenirs up the pasa peatonal known as 5th avenue looking for Mexican blankets, maracas and hammocks. Much like all of Costa Rica, Playa is one of those places where you should have been here 5 years ago, before all of this when there was one hotel, one bar, one taco stand and people only stopped in for the ferry to Cozumel. Despite its trappings its a great place to sit on the beach, eat tacos and drink too much tequila at the Screaming Duck or Blue Parrot or whatever the bleaming disco is called. I have spent long hours compiling all the best pics from the last month and inserting humorous and insightful comments where appropriate. There's a lot there so hopefully it all make sense. As I end 6 months on the road I am looking forward to staying in one spot for a while, clean laundry, Tim Hortons coffee, draft beer, hockey and road trips. I've enjoyed documenting my travels and I hope you've enjoyed reading about them. I must thank my parents again for the Digi Cam without which this wouldn't have been possible. We will be back in Toronto May 30 and look forward to partying with everyone back home. For those that won't be there, I hope you're doing well wherever you are and that summer follows you too. Ciao, Pat |

| Alaska - Copper River Rafting Trip |
| September 9, 2006 - Vancouver, British Columbia Hi There, Quick update, I have added links to our latest adventure on the Coulonge River in Quebec - thanks to Ernesto (and Ian) for putting together a nice little package of pics there. Also added a link to to Seeton.net my brother Rich's admirable attempt at keeping track of his erstwhile siblings. Check it out for wedding pics, Congrats to Ian & Lori for a wicked party, it pretty much turned into a Drunken Bing Crosby Christmas Special by the end. Ciao, Pat August 16, 2006 - Anchorage, Alaska Hello, I have just finished a weeklong rafting trip on the Copper River in Alaska with my brother Bruce and his friend Mike. I haven't updated this site in a very long time (15 months!) but I thought it was about time that I put some of this adventure on the web. As usual, no picture (or witty, insightful comment) can do the experience justice but just click on the picture or links to view some of the better ones. As they say in Alaska... Live Free or Die!
