Nicaragua 2 - Isla De Ometepe & Honduras 1 - Copan Ruins
Casapagina
Once we finally pryed ourselves away from the swimming pool in Granada we headed into Lake Nicaragua to see Isla De Ometepe.  The tiny island is formed by 2 volcanoes with an isthmus connectng the 2 cones.  It was lush and our place on the lake allowed us to swim the fresh water surounding us, despite the presence of the world's only fresh water sharks.
The self-take from the ferry.  That's Volcan Conception to the left of my head and Volcan Maderas to the right of Sarah's.
Hiking around the foothills of Conception.
Again we were treated to some incredible sunsets.
We even took a kayak out to get ourselves a better view.
Sarah was blocking mine....She told me to say I didn't mind...but I did.
Copan Ruins, Honduras
2 Quetzals at the gates to the Copan Ruins.
Copan Ruins, they contain some of the most detailed carvings remaining from the Mayan age.
They also have some very tall pyramids.
But their bread and butter was carvings.
So that was Honduras, Great.  Let's see some Guatemala!
