Once we finally pryed ourselves away from the swimming pool in Granada we headed into Lake Nicaragua to see Isla De Ometepe. The tiny island is formed by 2 volcanoes with an isthmus connectng the 2 cones. It was lush and our place on the lake allowed us to swim the fresh water surounding us, despite the presence of the world's only fresh water sharks. |
