THX

Film-maker George Lucas requested for a state-of-the-art post-production facility in 1982. The Lucas film engineers came up with THX, which suited Lucas' exacting standards. THX-equipped theatres were built in time for the release of The Return of the Jedi in 1983.

THX was incorporated into home theatre systems in 1990.

Earlier it was just Dolby. Now it's THX. From being the "Wow'' factor in Lucas' movies, THX quality sound is now available right in the comfort of your home and gives new meaning to the term, "Home theatre.''

Sounds are reproduced so accurately, movies are a whole new experience. Perhaps the next thing would be to introduce smells as well.
