Post-it Notes

Dr Spence Silver of 3M developed the post-it glue in 1968 but couldn't find a use for it until Art Fry had a spark of divine inspiration in church. The result was Post-It Notes in 1980. In 1981, Post-It Notes was named 3M's Outstanding New Product.

Whoever thought that a glue that wouldn't stick would become one of the most ubiqitous of office supplies? Whether it is a label on a floppy, or a page marker for your manual, Post-It Notes are probably one of the best things since ... the stapler.

Not bad for a sticky page-marker.
