Sports sandals

Mark Thatcher developed the Teva (which means Nature in Hebrew) sandal in 1982, inspired by the need for an amphibious sandal for river travelling.

It might be just an improvement of one of mankind's oldest footwear, but Thatcher's invention has started a revolution in casual footwear.

From the original Teva, sports sandals now range from hi-tech Nike air sandals to cheap rip-offs you can get anywhere
