*Los números anteriores corresponden al año en el que se disputa la final del torneo en cuestión (ej.: 83 = temporada 1982-83). En la Copa Intertoto (CI) se trata del mismo año en que se juega (ej.: 98 = verano 1998 / temporada 1998-99).
*A partir de la temporada 1996-97, los perdedores de la fase previa de la Liga de Campeones (C1) participan igualmente en C3; a partir de la temporada 1995-96, los campeones de la Copa Intertoto obtienen el derecho a participar en la Copa de la UEFA de ese mismo año.
*A partir de la temporada 1999-2000, la antigua Recopa de Europa (C2) y la Copa de la UEFA (C3) se fusionan en un único torneo denominado Nueva Copa de la UEFA (NCU). *From season 1996-97 on, losers in the Preliminary Round of Champions League (C1) are given a "wild card" to participate in C3; from season 1995-96 on, the Intertoto Cup champions have the right to participate in the UEFA Cup competition of that year.
*From season 1999-2000 on, the former Cup Winners' Cup (C2) and UEFA Cup (C3) merge into a single competition called New UEFA Cup (NUC).  Since it's basically a sequel of C3, participations of teams in NUC are included as belonging to C3.
