Nice place here. I didn't get to see much of the place since I had a connecting bus to take. The city did look impressive though but messy like a mega construction site. There were lots of tall buildings and stuff. It's a pity that I didn't take any pictures. History has it that a long time ago, there was an earthquake, which rattled up this place. It was a massive quake that the Mississippi River flowed backwards. Now I wonder if the buildings are now quake-safe. I mean people do get complacent when there are no major shakeups in recent history and all.
MEMPHIS
Traveled towards Nashville. Reached the place after a 4hr ride from Memphis. But it took a longer and the bus was behind schedule because there was a ridiculous traffic jam along the highway. I stared out the window in the middle of the night and watched the truck next to me as we inched alongside each other. There was a car and motorbike too. I was sad when the bus left the highway at the exit. I was getting used to their company. It was a great time to snooze on the bus though. The bus was halting at every few inches. It became quite nauseating that I needed so bad to lose consciousness but I did not wanna miss my stop. Arrived at an ungodly hour.
NASHVILLE
It was early morning when the bus pulled into this place. Half awake and getting annoyed that the lights in the bus were once again switched on. It was like sleeping in a pub/club with all that flickering party lights and lights by the road outside. All was quiet except for a couple of "lumberjack snores" comatose passengers.
KNOXVILLE
Bus drove along to this place with me as sleeping cargo. Not much recollection of this place as you can tell. No pictures were taken for the obvious reason. It was way too early in the morning for me to be conscious.
