Had breakfast. It was free though. Apparently, a retired colonel (he didn't tell me which branch he served in, but I assumed it was Army) offered to buy me breakfast. I was surprised and embarrassed and I had no idea how to react to his kind offer. Was I to order something expensive or inexpensive? If I were to order something expensive, I might seem like making use of his kind offer for my benefit. And if I ordered something extremely cheap, I might be unconsciously implying to him that he couldn't afford to buy me breakfast. After all, he was an African - American and i know that there is enough discrimination going on around and i didn't want him to feel bad in any way. In the end, I asked for a potato cake and thanked him, before making my way out of the cafe to eat outside. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to sit at the same table and have breakfast together or something. While having breakfast, a passenger asked me if i could look after his baggage for him while he visited the toilet. I obliged. I guess it was my BDU pants that I was wearing that probably made him think that he could trust me. Though I must admit I was lucky, that that baggage wasn't a bomb or some sort of explosive. Reached this place and called my friend to pick me up. AT&T said that the number was no longer in use. Oh well, fancy having some friend who would leave me in the middle of nowhere with no contacts.
ORLANDO
I hopped onto the bus and headed for Dallas. Bus stopped by at this place and it was a pretty little place.
OCALA
Traveled on to this place. I was snoozing most of the time and drenching my seat with drool. GAINESVILLE
I have no recollections of this place. I must have slept through it.
ALACHUA
Capital of Florida. Interesting place, no memory of it.
TALLAHASSEE
We might have skipped this stop or rather, shortened the layover time because we were behind schedule by 2 hours. There was to be a change in drivers but he didn't show up at the station. Later, they found out that he had gone on a vacation and was definitely NOT going to show up.
MARIANNA
Finally reached this place. I think there is some sort of a Naval medical facility in this area.
PENSACOLA
