Baltimore is a fascinating place. Tall building in the CBD, one ? way traffic (so if you do get lost while finding a place, you have to make a few turns before you find your bearings), bits of litter everywhere and other boo boos. BALTIMORE DOWNTOWN Had a day trip to Ocean City. It was an awesome place to have fun. The sand, the sea and games arcade facilities. It was kinda windy the day I was there. Hurricane season, my friend said it calmly as I saw the waves coming right at us and Mister Wind was having a field day messing up my hair. The winds blew sand from the beach and turned the front seat of the car literally into a mini NTC and the driver got a mouthful of healthy and yummy good sand when a blast of wind blew into her face. OCEAN CITY This is where i got my chance to ride in a fire truck. It's big, flashy and a rather handsome vehicle. This is one experience i will never forget. I got to play fire fighter and had a field day climbing all over the truck. I got to put on the chief's helmet and jacket and it was just so exciting. I was deliriously happy. Still am though. LOL. Next time round, Ill be there to hunt ducks and perhaps fish for tuna in the ocean. SECRETARY This place is spooky, after once Medic told me what happened when she was there previously. The ghost stories and all. I have been told a good part of the town was burned down in 1999. The buildings are mostly haunted and Medic was so sweet as to tell me those stories right before dinner. I didn't eat too much that night. Which was good, I guess. I was trying to shed a few lbs. ELLICOT CITY This is the place where we started the road march to Washington D.C. Tried to use the toilets in the buildings but they were locked. I guess they were afraid that someone would steal the toilet paper or something. Or the cleaner wasn?t in the mood to clean the toilets too often and decided to lock it up for sanitary purposes. I had to get the key from a lady at the counter. It looked really good, the place that is. Well, the toilets did look good too. District court house and other government department buildings surrounding it looked nice too. There was a big open concrete courtyard to frolic in. HYATTSVILLE I took tons of pictures here. I climbed onto tanks, sat by guns and was just having a whale of a time. Though Medic and I scooted off before 1700. Didn't wanna get caught with having to get out of the car to salute the flag while it was being lowered right in the middle of rush hour traffic. FT. MEADE This city resides the United States Naval Academy. There was a Marine at the checkpoint and i had to "hide" because I didn't have an ID on me. But Medic, Gimli and I got in anyway and took pictures. I snapped pictures of the compound while Medic went off in search for a toilet. It was cold and drizzling but it was still good. Had sushi and calamari for dinner. Yum! Medic and I got the kick outta wearing BDU pants around the area since this was Navy territory. We just wanted to annoy the boys in white. Get them all worked up. Went to window shop and I regretted not buying myself temporary tattoos with Army, Navy or Air Force emblems. ANNAPOLIS |
