ACT (Australian Capital Territory):
Not much going on here when i came through that place on my way back to Melbourne from Sydney via Greyhound. This is where things get dirty here. Politics and all that stuff, but it did look serene with all the greenery.
NSW (New South Wales):
Sydney Harbor Bridge, Star City Casino, Sydney Opera House, Hard Rock Cafe... that's just a few of Sydney's attractions. Not forgetting Bondi Beach and all. Sydney is ways more crowded and busier than Melbourne. Its roads are like a mass of cobweb, running at different angles and you have no idea when you have gone a block.
SA (South Australia):
Laid back, wine country, wide open spaces, different time zone... that's SA for you. Having to remember to turn the watches back by half an hour when i traveled to Adelaide from Melbourne via Greyhound (again). Not a bad place to look around. City is small and easily accessible. Shopping is a wee bit different even though they are pretty much the same companies country-wide. They just sell different things that's all. Take note of danger areas in the city. I've been told that after a certain time, one street in the city is a druggie's hangout. VIC (Victoria):
Best place i have been. Nice weather, great place. It can get any better when this place is famous for 4 seasons in a day. It's just awesome. Different suburbs, different atmosphere. Great Ocean Road, Grampians, Ballarat, Puffing Billy, Mount Buller etc.. it is just spectacular.
