COPING WITH CONFLICT
An intensive, self-help conflict resolution exercise designed for all types of relationships, guiding you from anger to peace, from despair to action, from outrage to insight.

Feelings

Check your feelings. You need to check your initial score against a final score at the end of the exercise in order to evaluate whether you are on your way to resolving the conflict successfully. You can come back to this step at any time during the exercise.

Give yourself a point for each feeling you experience. Tally the total number of points and amaze yourself at how the total score falls after completing the exercise with a final feelings check.

What feelings are you now experiencing now?

  • physically ill

  • hurt or upset

  • tense, uptight or anxious

  • angry or agitated

  • embarrassed or nervous

  • put down, insulted or belittled

  • frustrated or bitter

  • jealous

  • criticised

  • cheated or betrayed

  • defensive or threatened

  • ashamed of myself

  • irritated or manipulated

  • abandoned

  • plain annoyed

If this is your first feelings check, take note of your 'initial feelings score' and go to Step 2, Communicate.

If this is not your first feelings check, take note of your 'feelings score' and go to Take the Test and choose the appropriate next step to take.
