Every Halloween, monsters and goblins come out through the night. Ghouls, witches and vampires soon follow down the path. They always try to scare some of the people in the neighborhood. They dance, run, and play in the dark. All Halloween creatures love to hide behind the bushes and jump out in front of humans. These creatures have their own world that they live in. The creature's world is named Xanduna. Only on one night a year they are allowed to come and visit any world in the universe, and that night is Halloween. Some creatures like to go to Mars, or Venus. I know one creature that likes to go to Pluto, but most like to go to Earth.
When the creatures arrive, the first thing they do is hide their space shuttle. Their technology is too advanced for our species. Then they peek in our windows, while we get ready for our Trick or Treat. This is the best night for them to visit, because most of our costumes look just like many of them. They visit on this night so they won't frighten the small children too badly. The Xandunans can be a very considerate species. They may be small like children or as big as adults may.
When we go out to trick-or-treat, there are many of these creatures among us. They are able to get candied apples, popcorn balls, rice crispy treats, and candy just the same as we do. They play good tricks on the people who are nasty to children, or don't give out treats. These are the humans they like to scare. The Xandunans love apple cider and hot cocoa. Their favorite thing to do is visit the Halloween carnivals. Ghouls and ghosts like the cake walk the best. The vampires and wolf men are best at the apple bobbing contests because of their sharp fangs. Mummies like to hide in the coffins that are used in the haunted house. Witches ride their brooms through the air, and some can be seen having races. The goblins and monsters like getting the treats.
Late at night when it is time for bed, the Xandunans say their annual farewells. It is time for them to head home to their moms and dads. See they are just children just like you are, and they must get their rest. So when you see these creatures, be kind to them all. They, too, have feelings as well as breakable hearts. Halloween should be a fun night for you, the Xandunans, and I.
