Who am I?

Dylan had to run home and tell Damien the news. "Damien, Damien, I have just been from our new neighbor's house. You will not believe who moved in."

"Who?" Damien replied.

"A bear named Ted. He is very nice. Ted will be coming over soon. You will meet him then, and we all can play together."

Damien seemed surprised at what his brother had told him. Damien said, "a bear? Bears don't live in houses. They live deep in the forest. They live where the trees are real thick. They live in big warm caves. This is where they eat and sleep. They sleep there all Winter and don't come out until Spring.

Dylan, we live in a city. We live in a house. We don't sleep all Winter. We only sleep at night. A bear cannot live in the city. He would not survive. He cannot play with us. It just would not be fun."

Dylan told Damien, "that is what I first thought. I knew it could not be true. Then I met our neighbor. I now know it is true. I talked to the bear. He does have a name, just like you and me. His name is Ted. He will be here soon."

Damien shook his head. As he turned to walk away, the doorbell rang. Dylan shouted with excitement, "it is Ted. He is here. I cannot wait for you to meet him. AND HE IS A BEAR!"

Damien said, "I will prove to you that bears don't live in houses. You will see when I answer the door. There will be no bear there. For, this is the city and bears cannot live here." Damien quietly turned the doorknob. The door squeaked as it slowly opened. Damien could not believe his eyes. He was shocked to be standing face to face with what he saw.

It was a bear. "Hi! My name is Ted. You must be Damien. Your brother Dylan told me all about you. Can we go play?"

The two brothers and their new friend went outside to play. They had a lot of fun together. You see, bears can live in cities. Can they?
