Dylster is a yellow lizard that stands like
a boy. He is very tall, long, and skinny. Dylster has a long, thin
tail, and very skinny legs. He always wears his favorite orange shirt.
Although Dylster is very skinny, he loves to spend his time eating. Dylster eats a lot and soon after he is done, he asks to eat more. For breakfast, Dylster usually has a bowl of cereal. He loves to eat tuna for lunch. For dinner, Dylster has a great, bug plate full of spaghetti. This is his favorite food. Usually for dessert, Dylster eats chocolate ice cream.
Everyday after Dylster is done with his cereal, he goes outside to play with his friends Sunny and Mike. Sunny is Dylster’s best friend. They go swimming. These lizards can swim quite well. They are very fast, both in and out of the water.
After their swim, the three friends like to swing from the trees. Dylster always pretends that he is a monkey. He usually hangs by his tail from the branches. Sunny and Mike twist him around and around until his tail is all wound up. Then they let him go. Dylster spins, and spins, and swings, and swings until he can’t spin and swing anymore.
After a quick rest and snack, the three go for a bike ride. Dylster, Sunny, and Mike ride all over town. They go to the park and jump off ramps. They like the exciting feeling they get when the trio catches air off the ends of the ramps. When Dylster, Sunny, and Mike tire, the friends ride their bikes back home.
It is now time for rest and relaxation. Dylster digs in his closet to find his easel. Then he digs some more for paper and paints. Now he is all ready to paint, wait, or is he? Do you know what Dylster forgot? With a slap to his forehead, Dylster realizes he has forgotten the paintbrushes. You guessed it, time for Dylster to dig some more.
“Here they are,” Dylster exclaims. Dylster dips the brush in red, and then yellow. He swirls the brush in a little circle to make a bright orange sun. He paints a big blue sky and mixes blue and yellow to paint his green grass. Dylster chooses red for the petals to a big red flower and yellow for the center. “Whoola! A masterpiece!”
After all of the excitement of Dylster’s big day, it is time for bed. And, boy, Dylster is exhausted!
