Damien had an imagination like no other kid in this world. He loved dinosaurs so much that he saw them everywhere. He told his brother, Dylan, “There’s a dinosaur in my closet.”
Dylan began to remember his brother telling him, “there’s a dinosaur in my classroom.
”When Dylan visited the classroom, he saw no dinosaur there.
Damien had also told him, “there’s a dinosaur in the sky.” All Dylan had seen was a blue sky and a bunch of clouds.
Once Damien had told him, “there’s a dinosaur in the bathroom.” All Dylan saw there was the sink, the toilet, the bathtub, and a towel bunched up in the floor.
Damien tried to convince Dylan that there was a dinosaur in the snow. Again, Dylan saw no dinosaur, just some snow drifts and leafless trees. So, of course, when Damien said, “there’s a dinosaur in my closet.” Dylan had some trouble believing him.
“There’s no dinosaur in your closet,” he said. “You see dinosaurs everywhere, and I have never seen them.” Let me show you,” Damien replied, just as he always does. “There is really a dinosaur in my closet and his name is Fred.”
Dylan followed Damien to his room, and he opened the closet door. Then, at that instant, a small dinosaur jumped out. Dylan ran off screaming, as Damien said, “I told you there was a dinosaur in my closet.”
