Whats a war?

A war is a time when all the battledomers get a chance to test their skills. Some even end up with some really nice rewards! Many battledomers will participate. This will be the third war in Neopia! (Following the Tyrannian and Sahkmet.)

How are wars started?

They start sometime during a plot. They can be ended with the introduction of a new world. Wars can last any period of time, depending on how many opponents compete. The opponents introduced slowly gain more power until finally everyones against with the War Boss who has an outrageous number of HP and who everybodys going to have to work together to beat. After the War Boss is defeated, the war is over. Prizes are handed out accordingly. Some people get more than others, depending on how many battles you won, etc.

Participating in the war

Do you have to sign up? NO! You are in it if you want to be. You just go and challenge an opponent. There will be a number indicating how many of the opponent is left. Weak opponents will be gone a lot faster than the stronger ones. The News page tells you when a new opponent comes out. There are five levels of opponents. Level 1 is the easiest to beat, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4, and then youve got the Boss.  The more difficult foes give greater rewards!

While a war is going on, not much on Neopets is going to updated but the war. All of the other non-war one-player opponents are gone at least until the war's over.

In a war, you will never be disqualified! Winning gets much better rewards, and more likely than not, during this war, only wins will count. Hint: Try to defeat the opponents! To pick the right opponents, its a good thing if you know what level of difficulty you can handle.

Ups and Downs of a War

The good things:

-Trophy, NP, upped ranksall depends on how many times you won a battle ;)

-Many new people to battle

-Work with many other Neopians

-Plot to follow

-Its FUN!

-Become better known (sometimes)

The bad things:

-If you dont win much, you wont get much!

-All the one-player opponents are gone for now!

-If you dont like battling, Neopets is going to be pretty boring for a while!

The Boss Fight!!

Once all opponents have been defeated, or when Neopets decides it's time, the War Boss is brought out. Don't you let its enormous HP get to you, because you're not fighting this alone. Everyone's banding together in a giant attack.

Pets with the ability Drain Life will mostly dominate now. This skill will let anyone to take down 100 HP of the Boss per turn on the "Weak" setting for 10 turns while healing 100 HP to themselves! That of can mean that a pet with Drain Life knock off an opponents 1,000 HP in a single fight as long as there's no interferences, and by "interference" it could mean "a Rod of Supernova" or something similar to that. If the Boss's weapon does over 100 HP plus your HP, you're gone.

Reward Day is here!

Yay! cheers neopians everywhere. Why would they be so happy? Read on!

It goes something like this: For every battle you won, you're going to recieve a little bit of a financial boost! This can be anywhere from 5,000 NP (just from one simple fight) to several million NP (Killing the Boss).

You'll only make NP one time on each opponent, but it all is going to add up. The stronger the enemy you battle, the more rewards you reap, although the exact numbers just might change this time. In the last war, it went a little like this:

First Round - 5K per opponent
Second Round - 10K per opponent
Third Round - 20K per opponent
Fourth Round - 100K per opponent
War Boss - 20 million NP to the quacker who hits him last and even maybe rare, powerful item!

Oh its raining NP! WoOhOoHoO!

A lot will also receive nifty trophies!
