A Macromolecule...
By definition is any molecule that has an atomic weight of over 1,000 Daltons (atomic mass unit used to measure molecules).  They are essential to the body and come in four basic types...

Meet The Macromolecule Group
Yep, that's us!  Three freshmen and one sophmore that attend John Carroll High School.  If you haven't guessed, we're in an Honors Biology course this year and we made this webpage to reflect what we've learned about macromolecules.  See the funky looking one on the Left?  That's me, Stephen.  I'm the computer nerd of the group.  I also did the structure pages for each molecule.  Next to me is Charles.  He did the functional groups page and he also helped with various other slave labor taks we could think to torture him with.  Ashley is our sophmore chick.  She's the diet expert, so thank her for all the great info on how to eat right.  David's on the right.  David did whatever pages we needed that didn't fit under anyone elses catagories.  His pages focus on the uses of these molecules in biotechnology.

That's us!  Four confused lowerclassmen on a virtual journey through biology.  Personaly, I think you'll find a bunch of really useful stuff on our site and it cover every major topic related to our molecules.  Also, check out our Powerpoint (that's my pride and joy!)  I think you'll find that it's a pretty good summary of everything.

Hope you like out site, happy hunting!
