| Protein Diet and Health |
| Proteins are an important part of adults and teens life. With protein, the body is able to build muscle and produce tissue. Some examples of foods that contain proteins are found in the following foods: Milk Eggs Fish Chicken Beef Proteins, along with other healthy foods, are good when trying to gain muscle mass. Protein filled food contain necessary amino acids that are vital to maintain a healthy body. Meat is not the only source of protein. Soy products are good choice when a person is a vegetarian. Soy products meet the necessary requirements for the daily nutritional intake for proteins. When a person does not recieve enough protein, a condition called protein-energy malnutrition is fromed. Potein-energy malnurition is an illness that is caused from an absence of protein in the diet which manifests itselfs as body wasting and increases chances for infections. Protein-energy malnutrition is mostly seen in thrid world countries and underdeveloped areas. Protein disorders are mostly seen in people that are not vegetarians. Non-vegearians face disorders that are caused by taking too much proteins. Some of the problems that can arise are a dysfunctional liver and dysfunctional digestive activity.
