Li-ChAnime: FullMetal Anime

Gundam Wing review.

Gundam Wing is a 49 episode series that was pure magic since the beginning. The music was purely superb, and the animation though rather dark, was beautiful. The story of Gundam Wing follows that of five young men, Heero Yuy, Duo Maxwell, Trowa Barton, Quatre Reberba Winner, and Chang Wufei. The boys are trained to fly five Gundam suits, and must overcome hardships that many wartime soldiers face, including nearly being blown up, killed, and the constant wonder of whether they are doing the right thing.
Since I have not seen the entire series, I cannot tell much of the plot, and I�ve only seen the episodes once each, which was at least two years ago. However, I can say that the animation is amazing. The battle scenes are as realistic as an animated show can be, and the characters are so real, it�s like they�re alive. This is yet another series that I was turned onto by the end theme music. Though it had no lyrics, I heard the song and thought instantly that I should check out the series. Oh, was I glad I did! I had missed maybe the first dozen or so episodes, but I caught onto the marvelous plot quickly. Gundam Wing, however, is not for young children. There is way too much blood and gore for a child, but I think anyone who is old enough to stand the blood and gruesome scenes should check this series out. By far, Gundam Wing is different from any other anime I�ve reviewed, even 08th MS Team. Overall, I would give what I saw of the series a 94% �A�. Once again, this series is not for young children, but many adults and older children/teens would really enjoy this anime. Gundam Wing also inspired a movie (Actually, it�s a three episode continuance to the series in a movie form, at least in the US.) called Endless Waltz. (See Endless Waltz review)
