Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz review.
On Christmas Eve, A.C. 195, the war between the earth and the colonies had finally come to an end. This is the beginning of the movie that is Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz. Endless Waltz was a piece of art that is absolutely wonderful. The same lovable characters are back, and as awesome as ever. The story starts with, of course, the end of the war. Then, a year later, Quatre and Duo are prepping the Gundams to be launched into the sun, since they wont be needed anymore, now that the war is finally over. Relena, now the Vice Foreign Minister to the space colonies, is kidnapped during a visit to the newest colony, X18999. There, she encounters a young girl by the name of Mariemia, who is the daughter of Treize Kushrenada. Mariemia is planning to set war upon the earth and colonies once more, and declares the colony independent from the Earth Sphere Unified Nation (What was formed when peace came the year before.), and also declared war on the Nation. Now, the Gundam boys cannot let this happen without a fight, right?
Quatre immediately sets off with the Manguannacs (I don't care if I spelled that wrong.) to retrieve the shuttle that is sending the Gundams into the sun. Trowa tries to bring the rebellion down from the inside, and joins Mariemias army, which is lead by Dekim Barton, the real Trowa Bartons father. Duo goes to find Heero, and the two attack military bases, including the mobile suits and dolls that were left over from the war. However, there is a problem. When Trowa joined Mariemias forces, he found Wufei already working for them. He wanted to stop the war his way, and make sure no more innocent lives were lost.
I must admit, I have never seen a more complex plot for a 3 episode mini series/movie. However, if I say so myself, it was both a fitting and unfitting end to the Gundam Wing series. I loved the way it turned out, it could not have been better, except for one thing, I wish it didnt have to end! Both Gundam Wing, and Endless waltz are amazing, and I have to give Endless Waltz a 96% A. I love this movie, and I know that it is a definite must-see to anyone who liked Gundam Wing. Do NOT see this movie without seeing at least some of the series first! You will be very sorry if you do.
