CHAPTER 3.

Dinner that night was quite unusual. Futtie and my other sisters kept staring and giggled at Sakura and me, who were sitting next to each other.
So, how did you become friends with this guy? I mean, he isnt exactly the nicest boy under the sun. Although he wants me to call him a man. I know he isnt, though! Hes too little! Feimei teased. Sakura blushed a wild shade of red and chuckled nervously.
Dont pay attention to her. Feimeis almost as young as our little Xiao Lang. Fanren smiled at the girl I had loved for years. Shes really hyper, but shes the one who made it possible for you to be here, Card Mistress.
Is she going to call me that the whole time Im here? Sakura asked me. I shrugged. I still think its impossible to understand the female teenagers mind.
Probably. I responded truthfully. She might actually get the courage to call you by your name on your last day here. Sakura giggled and hugged me lightly. I put an arm around her, and then pulled away with the biggest blush I had ever had.
Aww. Arent they CUTE? Sheifa squealed. I opened my right eye and glared at her.
Aww, arent you asking for me to kick you? I retorted.
Xiao Lang! Mother yelled.
Sorry, Mother. I sighed. The rest of the night was silent except for the sound of chopsticks and glasses touching the table. Okay, maybe not completely silent. But Ill never tell my family that I was the one who made Sheifa spill her rice all over her new dress by use of magic.

Im sorry about dinner, Sakura-Chan. I confessed. Believe it or not, this was a slow day in the Li household. You get used to it after awhile, though. She smiled at me as we walked up the staircase together.
Uh-oh. Sakura said, glancing at all the doors in the hall. Syaoran-Kun? This is embarrassing, but
Your room is the one next to mine. 5th door on the left. I informed the beautiful jade-eyed goddess. She smiled her irresistible smile. I blushed another odd shade. Ja ne, Sakura-Chan. I smiled, turning into the 6th door, my room.
Arigato, Syaoran-kun. She said as I tried to close my door.
Now, I couldnt end the conversation just like that, could I? Arigato for what?
Everything, really. Everything youve ever done for me. She smiled again.
Uh Dou itashimashite.
She giggled and closed her door. I thought I heard a faint sigh come from inside. I heard a thump as she flopped onto her bed.
Closing my own door, I sat on my bed and let myself fall into the green sheets. She was here, thats all I cared. I stared at our picture on my nightstand. She looked so beautiful. Her brilliant emerald eyes glistening in the sunlight. I longed for that moment. I wanted to be in Tomoeda with her, not here. Hong Kong is too crowded and polluted for a girl like her. She needed better. Room to run around and hang out in the park with her friends. There was no room for any of that here. My friends and I made due with what we could. (A/N: Im not really sure if any of that is true, but I added it in there to make things interesting.)
I changed into an old t-shirt and a pair of shorts. Switching on my TV, I saw a tape sitting next to the screen. It was labeled: Sakura and Syaoran: Time capture. I smiled slightly, shaking my head as my bangs flew all over my face. They settled in their usual place, right in front of my eyes. Baka kaminoke. I whispered in Japanese while I pushed them away. As usual, they came right back. Note to self: Get very powerful hair gel.
I popped the tape in and watched in amazement. I couldnt believe the way Id treated her back then! Yelling at her, insulting her, ordering her around. It all made me sick to my stomach.
Youre not fit to be CardCaptor. The ten-year old me said to the girl on the screen. So why dont you just give the rest of the Cards to me? Ill finish this task myself.
Hoe? Sakura wondered. No! I wont! I promised Kero-Chan that Id collect them all! And thats what Im going to do!
I saw the details as we fought the Time Card. Watched as time slowed down and sped up. It was too much.
I looked away from the screen and ran to my bed. I almost broke down. I almost cried. But I didnt. I couldnt. Im Syaoran Li, future leader of the Li clan. Im not allowed to cry.

++++++++++ Well, minna? What do you think? I thought the thing with the tape would be kinda cool to add in. Syaoran comes to a very cruel realization in chapter 4 and there is also a little swearing. (Its just one word, though.). Patience, minna. I dont have much time for writing as of late. I have too much school stuff to do. But hey, 5 days (one of which I wont be learning because we wont actually be at the school) and 1 hour (Just to pick up report cards and turn in any remaining textbooks) left and Im free all summer! I cant write this weekend b/c Im going camping, but Ill have new chapters for all my fics soon! Please review (Dont flame please, it makes me sad. ^_^.) And enjoy what I have for you now! Ja ne!
