CHAPTER 2.

Over the next few weeks, the Li household was very busy. Rooms were being cleaned, arrangements made with the Elders, dusting, washing, cleansing, and anything else that needed to get done.
It was a good thing Sakura was the Card Mistress. Otherwise, the Elders would not have allowed her to stay here. Mother was thrilled at the thought of the Clow Cards being in the house again. Sakura was due to arrive on August 3rd. Everyone was anxious. Mostly me.
The days dragged by as I waited for that day. I didnt even care that we had to work all through my birthday. I did get an e-mail from Sakura, though. She was as excited as I was about her coming.

Well, were off to the airport, Wei. Mother said, pulling on a jacket. It was strangely chilly that morning. I thought I sensed something coming closer, but I figured it was Sakuras aura.
I had decided to stay behind with Wei. We still had some last minute things to do. As a welcoming gift, Fanren had suggested a party for Sakura and the girls would take her shopping. I would be staying back from that, too.
Mother and my sisters left and they would come back with someone I was waiting to see. I still couldnt believe the day had come. I thought I would be coming to Japan after I finished my business here, not Sakura coming while Im still here.
I went to my room and checked to make sure all the pictures I had of her were just the way I wanted them. I sat on my bed and stared at the photos of the girl. She was beautiful. Her hair was a very light brown and her eyes were as pretty and bright and emeralds. I thought about her every night when I was supposed to be sleeping. I wanted everything to be absolutely perfect upon her arrival. She deserved nothing less then the best. I suddenly wondered why, if she should have the best, she might even consider choosing me over all the boys she could have in Japan.
But still. I sighed, placing the photograph exactly where it had been before I picked it up. Shes as beautiful as the flower shes named after. Sakura, my wonderful little cherry blossom
Master Syaoran, Wei knocked on my bedroom door an hour later. Your mother and sisters will be here shortly. As will your friend from Japan.
Thank you, Wei. I looked into the eyes of our butler. I could tell that he cared for me. He would do anything to make sure Sakura and I were happy together.
For what, Master Syaoran? Wei asked, confused.
For taking care of me in Japan. If you wouldnt have come with me, the Cards might not have been captured. And, I wouldnt have met Sakura. Pretty much, thank you for everything youve ever done for me, Wei.
He turned a little red. Now I knew two people that I could make blush. Sakura and Wei. I wanted to laugh, because I knew that was what he was trying to make me do.
The door opened downstairs. There was the sound of many footsteps and several bags being plopped onto the tiled entrance hall. Wei, Syaoran! Were back! Feimei practically screamed. Of course, the house was so big, thats what you needed to do in order to be heard from anywhere in the house.
Syaoran-Kun! Where are you? I heard the sweet voice of one of my best friends from down the spiraling staircase that connected the bedrooms to the lower floors of the house. Syaoran-Kun!
I stood up, smiled at Wei, and walked down to meet her. I couldnt wait to see her after all this time. I had been dreaming of this for months. I wondered what she looked like. How much shed changed. There were a few things I could tell from my room, however. She sounded the same; her high, sweet voice had not changed a bit. Also, her aura felt the same. So she hadnt changed too much, her powers were stronger, however.
Sakura-Chan? I called, nearly thundering down the spiraling steps. I couldnt run, because trust me, doing that makes you incredibly dizzy. Konnichiwa! She ran to me and clung to me, her arms around my neck. Her face buried in my chest. She was shaking; I felt something wet seep through my shirt.
Youre crying. I looked at her with concern. Whats the matter?
She wiped her eyes on my sleeve and looked at me. Her beautiful emerald eyes burned into me to a hot iron. She was so pretty
I just cant believe Im here. She said, still sobbing. Its been so long since Ive seen you, I hate being away from my friends. Im going to miss Tomoyo and everyone She burst into tears once again.
I comforted her until her tears stopped. Of course, by then, my shirt as drenched.
Wei, could you please show our guest her room? Mother asked. Wei bowed and picked up Sakuras bags.
Right this way, Miss Sakura. Wei started up the stairs and I decided to follow after him and Sakura.
Figures. I sighed. They give her the room next to mine. What are they trying to do, bribe me into kissing her? Or even
Syaoran-Kun? Daijoubu desu ka? Sakura asked, looking at me with concern in her big, beautiful green eyes.
Nani? Oh, hai. Just kind of spaced out for a second. I lied. Im a terrible liar, but Sakura and I used to fall for Yamazakis lies all the time, so I was hoping she wouldnt notice.
She smiled at me and walked into her room. Wow. This is a guest room? This makes my bedroom look like a broom closet!
I made a mental note not to tell her that my room was larger.
And the best part is, we get to spend a lot more time together! Sakura giggled.
Yeah. I agreed, not really knowing what she meant by that. I sat down on her bed, right where the white at the top started to fade slowly to a bright pink at the bottom of the bedspread. But the question is, can we stand that much of each other? Before I go crazy because Im too scared to tell you that I love you? I added to myself.
I think so. Sakura said cheerfully, sitting at her desk, and having similar thoughts. That is, if you can stand me being around all the time
I think I can handle it. For awhile, at least.

++++++++++

A/N: I know, I know! Syaoran acted out of character, big time. But hey, this male perspective thing is harder than it seems, coming from a girl that usually only writes in perspective of her gender. He might act a little, how shall I put this Girly. O-negai, dont flame me for that, I havent written like this since Sakuras Threat, and even then it was only a few chapters. (I should really read that again. Maybe I can improve it) Anyways, find out what Syaorans talking about in the next chapter! It might take a while, Im about to enter 4th quarter and I have standardized testing (Gag) starting my first day back. (Thats smart, give us 10 days off, let us forget everything weve ever learned, and then test us the day we get back!) Gomen ne, but its almost midnight and Im beat. So, R&R until chapter 3 comes out! Ya ne! P.S. I havent seen the 1st movie, so I dont really know what Syaorans house looks like, so I just went by what mansions are usually thought to look like.
