Konnichiwa, Minna-San! Less than a week, and Im fourteen! YAY! Anyways, thank you all for reading/reviewing. You guys are the greatest. This fic may have to go on hiatus until I read the last 3 manga, which are coming out soon. Ill get as much done as possible now, but it may not be much, depending on how many chapters I can get to first three Sakura Card manga into. Last chapter was pretty good, ne? Eriol arrives in this chapter, and things start to get interesting. Hope you all like!
CCS isnt mine. Unless my parents buy it for me for my b-day, which probably isnt going to happen.
Mastery: Chapter 4.
Syaoran arrived at school, just as he did every other day. He had even done more than Eriol had commanded, and kind of accidentally forgot what day he was coming to Tomoeda. He conversed with Tomoyo until Sakura arrived, and joined the conversation. The bell rang and Terada-Sensei stepped into the room.
Class, we have a new transfer student from England. Come on in. Syaoran glared as Eriol walked in. His master smiled as he saw the look on Syaorans face.
Hes a good actor. Eriol said almost silently to himself.
Everyone, this is Hiiragizawa Eriol. Eriol, if you would, please take a seat behind Miss Daidouji.
Sakura, Tomoyo, and Syaoran all glanced at the seat Eriol had been assigned to. While the girls turned back to pay attention to their daily lesson, Syaoran continued to glare as his creator sat down. Eriol smiled at the brown-haired boy, and Syaoran gave back an untrusting stare.
Halfway through the day, Eriol handed a note to Syaoran. It read:
Youre a pretty good actor. Im proud of you, Syaoran.
-Eriol.
Syaoran glanced at him and gave a small smile. He scribbled down the words Thanks, Master. And handed the slip of paper back to Eriol, who continued with his trademark Im-so-evil smile.
The day ended and Sakura and Tomoyo had decided to take Eriol on a tour of Tomoeda. Syaoran tagged along for two reasons: To keep up his I dont trust Eriol act, and because Sakura was going, and he had orders to protect and help the Card Mistress whenever possible.
I still cant believe youre going home, Syaoran. Sakura said as they walked around town. Its not going to be the same without you to help me with She stopped, remembering Eriol, who was standing right behind her. School work. You know how bad I am at math. Sakura gave him a look saying that she really meant the Cards, even though he did sometimes help her out with math homework.
Actually, I just decided that Im going to stay for a little while longer. Ill probably just finish up the year. Or maybe just wait until elementary school is over with.
Sakura gasped and smiled. SUGOI!!! This is great! Tomoyo, Syaorans staying for awhile! The girl was practically jumping for joy. Syaoran smiled at her, but stopped as soon as he saw the look Eriol was giving him out of the corner of his eye.
Watch yourself. Eriol whispered sharply in Syaorans ear. Remember, one girl, not the Mistress.
I know. I think of her as a friend, no more. Syaoran hoped that Eriol wouldnt notice the obvious lie. Either he didnt, he chose to ignore it, or he was bidding his time, trying to cook up a good punishment for his creation.
After the tour was over, Tomoyos bodyguards pulled up and took her home. Sakura, Syaoran, and Eriol stood outside of Syaorans apartment building. Sakura said her goodbyes, and Eriol whispered something to Syaoran again. Come to the house tonight.
Yeah, yeah. See you tomorrow, Sakura, Hiiragizawa. Syaoran said Eriols last name coldly.
Eriol smiled. So long, Li. He began to walk away, saying to himself how proud he was that he had created one good thing considering his past failures with a sugar-drunk panther and a hyper sexless wonder.
What does Eriol keep whispering to you? Sakura asked as soon as Eriol was out of sight.
Nothing. Hes just being weird. Syaoran wanted to tell her so badly. He wanted to tell her everything. About him, Eriol, the Cards, and how much he loved her, even though it was forbidden.
Sakura left for home, and after the streetlights came on, Syaoran went to Eriols house. The dark mansion would have been eerie, except Syaorans fear emotion sensors werent working their best. He knocked on the heavy door, and Nakuru answered it.
KAWAII ICHI!!!!!!!!!!! She screeched. Master! The cute ones here! Follow me! Nakuru skipped and bounced along the hallways, with Syaoran at her heels. The two entered a large room that was lit by candles. Eriol sat in the center of the room in his large chair (Or is it a throne? Oh, well.)
Hello, Syaoran. Eriol said, his gentle schoolboy voice replaced by the deeper voice he used around his servants.
Master. Syaoran knelt down on one knee in front of his creator. What is your reason for summoning me?
I just wanted to warn you that tomorrow will be the start of the transformation of the Clow Cards. Oh, and I will probably have to do some things to you to get the Cards transformed, so now you cant say that I didnt warn you.
Yes, Master.
Tell me, is she strong enough to sense auras yet?
Yes. She was able to sense the aura of a Card a long while ago.
Good. Make sure she calls you when there is danger. Just in case I need your assistance. Eriol was now standing over Syaoran, who was still on one knee. Get up, Syaoran. You look like youre about to propose to someone. By the way, have you found the girl yet? The one you can love?
No, Master, I havent. And to be honest, I am not looking very hard. If I fall in love now, I may get distracted from my task. Syaoran said, not wanting to say that he had found a girl, but it was the one he wasnt allowed to care about.
What about me, kawaii ichi? Will Nakuru do? Nakuru asked, somewhat hopefully.
I am allowed to love one and only one. To be honest, Nakuru, I would rather that the one be a female, instead of one that is neither male nor female. Syaoran sighed, standing up. Im sorry. Besides, youre like a sister to me, just as Spinel is like a brother.
Leave me out of this. Im trying to read. Spinels voice came from high overhead. The tiny creature was lying on a bookshelf about ten feet above their heads.
Sorry. Syaoran smiled.
Okay, I was just asking. You may go now, Syaoran. And keep up the great acting. Youre really good at pretending to hate me. Eriol tossed something at Syaoran just before the boy left. It was a new communicator, one that looked more like a cell phone. Syaoran left, and Nakuru went back to what she was doingtrying to scale the bookcase to get to her favorite Suppi-Chan Frisbee.

Hey, Minna-San! This one took longer than the last chapter! Im now 14 years, 2 months, and 5 days of age. Im really sorry, but Ive had so much work to do, especially now that I have a twenty-page English assignment due on the 22nd. But hey, fourth quarter, so soon Ill have most of the summer to write, except for my cousins wedding and band camp (I know, I know, anyone whos seen American Pie can just shut up now before I shove a bass drum where the sun dont shine.) Anyway, keep reading/reviewing, and I think I might start writing To Live And Die again. Ja ne, Minna-San!
