Kobanwa, Minna-San! I got sent home sick from school day, so Im feeling lousy, and this might not be as good as I had hoped. Apparently bronchitis and pneumonia are going around Sycamore Middle School. Anyway, with what time I dont spend coughing, Ill try to write this. Again, if its bad, dont flame the sick person. Thanks, Minna-San!
CCS isnt mine. Get over it.

Mastery: Chapter 3.

The months went by, and the Cards were captured one by one. Just before the Final Judgment commenced, Syaoran was able to report to Eriol.
Master, the final Card has been captured. Yue should appear any moment now. Excellent plan, using that Yukito character. Apparently, the CardCaptor has a not-so-secret crush on the boy.
Eriol chuckled. Of course. Dont you think I know that? All part of my plan, Syaoran. All part of my plan.
Of course, Master. Syaoran glanced back to where Sakura and Tomoyo were standing, Cerbereus at their side. Sakura had a pen in one hand, and the Earthy Card in the other. She is sealing it away now. Yukito is unconscious on a bench right now, but not for long.
Good. Im guessing it was you who knocked him out? Eriol asked, Syaoran nodded, pleased with what he had done. Good boy. Now, hurry and get back to the girls side before anyone gets suspicious.
Yes, Master. Ill report back as soon as it is over. Syaoran hung up the communicator and stashed it in his pocket. He ran to Sakuras side. As soon as she had written the final A of her name, Yukito was enveloped in a blue light. Wings sprouted suddenly from his back and covered him. When they parted again, Yukito was not there. In his place was Yue, the Judge and the Guardian with the powers of the moon. He gave Sakura a small look, and began the Trial. Syaoran tried to help her, but was stopped, knowing that assistance would result in Sakura losing the Trial. After what seemed like an eternity of suspense, Sakura won her match against Yue, and was named the Clow Mistress.

~*~*~*~*~

I really hoped that she wouldnt have taken so long. Eriol shook his head as he spoke with his creation that night. I thought you were helping to both assist her and train her magical abilities, Syaoran.
I tried, Master. Only some are either too dumb or too uneager to learn. Im not exactly sure which applies to the girl, though.
Be quiet. I dont want you insulting our little Sakura. Ill be there in a months time, understood?
Yes, Master. I shall prepare for your arrival.
Syaoran, I dont want you to prepare for anything except to come back here.
But Master! I thought you said I still have a role to play in all this! Syaoran protested. He found that he rather like Tomoeda. He and the new Mistress had even become friends. And, much to his dismay, he found that he really enjoyed her company.
You do, Syaoran. You do. You will act as though you are returning home to Hong Kong. However, when I arrive, which will be just before you leave, you suddenly decide to stay. This will be after strange things start happening around town. You will stay and aid the girl as much as possible to help her transform the Cards. Be there for her. And, at all costs, act like you dont trust me.
Okay. Syaoran stated, trying to understand, and trying to remember all he was told. I dont know you and I dont trust you in the slightest.
Excellent. Now, see you next month. Ill communicate with you the night before I leave, and I dont want to hear from you until then, understood?
Yes, Master. I shall see you soon. Syaoran hung up and changed out of his fighting robes. After a quick dinner, he showered and climbed into bed. Thoughts of the days events flooded his mind, and he found that most of the images were of Sakura. Whats wrong with me? He asked the darkness around him. Why cant I stop thinking about her? Shes the person Im trying to help, but shes also the person I cant get attached to. No matter what, I cant feel anything but friendship towards her.
That last sentence was what stuck in his mind as he drifted into sleep. Syaoran dreamt that he and Sakura were a couple. She was deeply in love with him, and he was only her friend. Sakura knew this, but refused to believe it. She knew everything, how he was created by Eriol, how he can only feel love for one person, and, no matter how much he wanted it to be, that one person could never be her. It dug into his soul and ripped apart anything else that he could care about. If he couldnt be attached to Sakura, there was nothing else he could be attached to.
Stupid humans and their emotions. Syaoran grumbled in his sleep. Who needs love, anyway? Love is nothing if you cant have the one you truly love.
Kero gasped and flew back out of Syaorans open window. He had heard everything, and was in too much shock to even kill the little gaki. How could HE love Sakura? How dare he? But the question that ate at Kero more than the others was this: What am I going to do about it? The kids an android? Why didnt I think of that? But, if hes newly created, just for helping Sakura capture the Cards, why is the late Clow Reeds aura all around him?

++++++++++
Hey, Mina-San! Im all better now! Wow, this one took forever to write, even though it was short with a capital everything. I didnt even have that whole Kero thing planned, but it was a way to add a little bit more into the chapter.
