Mastery: Chapter 2.
So long, O Kawaii One. Nakuru said at the airport the next day. Syaoran sweatdroppped.
Is that what she will call me from now on, Master? He asked Eriol, hoping the answer would be a no.
Most likely, Syaoran. Sorry. I made her too hyper, but I think I did well on you. Eriol confessed, putting a hand on his creations shoulder.
Thank you, Master. I shall report to you every day. Syaoran bowed deeply, and said his goodbyes. Stepping onto the plane, he was full of loyalty to Eriol, and to his mission. And yet, as he discovered, he was nervous, too. Whats wrong with me?
~*~*~*~*~ Flashback to the pervious night ~*~*~*~*~
Syaoran, to make you as human as possible, I have given you what is as close to feelings as I could make. Among these feelings, all of which you will learn of in turn, is the feeling of love. Eriol explained, looking around to make sure Nakuru and Spinal werent listening. However, this love is programmed so that you can fall in love with one person, and one person only. If this person does not except your love, or you break up with that person, you can never love again. Thats why I want you to be careful. You may love whomever you see fit, except one thing: You may not fall in love with the CardCaptor, understood?
Yes, Master. No matter how tempting she may be, I will never love her. She is to be considered my enemy and rival. Syaoran nodded.
Very good. I have made you well indeed. Eriol smiled at his own genius. Now, get some sleep. You have a big day tomorrow.
Yes, Master. Syaoran bowed and left for the room that had been set aside for him.
~*~*~*~*~ End Flashback. ~*~*~*~*~
After a 10-hour flight, the flight attendant announced that they would be arriving in Japan in a moment. Syaoran gazed out the window and saw below him a great city. A tall tower loomed high above the surrounding buildings. He had been told that the name of the tower was Tokyo Tower. Tomoeda was close by. Still gazing at the looming tower, Syaoran saw a small town in the distance. There were two or three schools, and houses of various designs. There were western, two-story homes, as well as traditional Japanese ones. A mansion stood on either side of the town; one was bright and cheerful, while the other was dark and gloomy. Syaoran knew the dark one belonged to Eriol. Or rather, to Clow Reed.
The plane landed and Syaoran left the airport after claiming his luggage. (Which was not much, considering he had just been brought to life a day or so ago.) He hailed a taxi that brought him to his apartment in the outskirts of Tomoeda. A black uniform with white sailor bib and tie sat on his bed. A slip of paper told him what class he was in, what time school started, and what his schedule was. His teacher was a man by the name of Terada-Sensei. He was in class 4-2. The rest, he would find out tomorrow.
After eating some food, which the refrigerator had been stalked with, Syaoran took a quick shower, having been reassured by Eriol that his circuits wouldnt fry. After that, he brushed up a bit on Japanese, and fell asleep.
~*~*~*~*~
Syaoran awoke to a beeping sound coming from his bedside table. He reached to turn off his alarm clock, but noticed that he had forgotten to set it the night before. The beep continued, and he realized that it was Eriols communicator.
He opened the cell-phone like device and saw his masters face on the screen. Ohayo gozaimasu, Syaoran.
Syaoran thought for a second. Of course he was using Japanese, to help Syaoran learn it better. Ohayo, Master.
Syaoran, do you know what time it is? Why arent you in school yet? Eriol asked.
Master, it is only six thirty in the morning here. I got a note stating that school didnt start until 8 oclock.
Oh, yes. Thats right. I forgot to count the time difference. Gomen ne, Syaoran.
Um Daijoubu, Master.
Good, you are learning. I was a bit worried about your Japanese skills.
I studied a little just before bed, Master. Syaoran smiled, proud of his achievement.
Yes, well, contact me when you get back from school. Dont forget to wear your uniform. Black shoes are for outdoors, white are for indoors.
Yes, Master. I will not forget. Sayonara.
Sayonara, Syaoran. Good luck.
Arigato.
Eriol hung up and the screen went dark. Syaoran ate breakfast and got dressed, giving him about an hour before school started. He switched on the television and struggled to understand the show he was watching. It was about a girl with a meatball-like hairstyle. Whenever a bad guy showed up, she would duck around a corner, yell something, and transform into a girl that looked just like her, only with a skimpier outfit and a tiny tiara. Then, other girls dressed the same way would help her beat the bad guy and no one would know who they were, even if they knew the person who transformed. The show was called Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon.
Japanese shows are creepy. Was all he said before switching off the TV and realizing the time. He grabbed a coat, having learned the day before the Japan was COLD and walked out the door.
A few minutes after he arrived at the school, a teacher walked up to him. Are you Li Syaoran? He asked. Syaoran nodded. Follow me. My name is Terada-Sensei. Ill be your teacher.
Syaoran stood outside the classroom door until he was called. He stepped in as Terada was writing his name on the blackboard. People whispered about how cute he was, and how strange it was to have an exchanged student this late in the year. Looking around the room, Syaoran saw a girl who was giving off a small, but noticeable aura. CardCaptor He thought before his thoughts were interrupted.
Li Syaoran. He is from Hong Kong, everyone be nice to him. Terada told the class. He scanned the room. Now for your seat How about behind Kinomoto?
The emerald-eyed girl Syaoran was staring at jumped at the mention of her name. She glanced behind her for a second, eyeing the empty seat. Syaoran walked down the isle, and stopped in front of her. He glared at her, but was again interrupted, this time by a dark-haired girl sitting next to the CardCaptor. Your seat is right here. She pointed, indicating the desk he had been assigned to.
The school day was long, especially for Sakura, who had to deal with Syaoran glaring at her all day.
++++++++++
Okay, Im done. For all of you who have seen episode #8, you all know what happens. I wont make a complete redo of the entire CCS storyline. Because I know that would be too long and too boring, and it would kinda be plagiarism. So, yea. Ill cut it down as much as possible, k? k. I know that almost nothing happened this chapter, but I think things will start to pick up in the next one or the chapter after that. Im sorry to anyone who got mad because of my little summary of Sailor Moon, but I just thought it was kinda funny. Im an SM fan, too, so I really cant talk. Lol. Please keep reading/reviewing! Arigato, Minna-San!
