Day 57: June 12, 2000

Upper Body today and had an awesome workout, except for my chest.  I really didn't get a great burn on the Smith Machine tonight.  Definitely gonna switch back to dumbbells on Friday.  

Shoulders, Back and Arms were great though.  Am able to see their shape coming through, even with all the hair there.  

Will be back in the gym early tomorrow for Cardio!!

Day 58: June 13, 2000

Once again, I'm in the gym bright and early for my morning cardio workout and wake up call.  I gotta say, I feel great after these morning workouts and am glad I have started doing them faithfully.  

I made a comment today that really felt good after I thought about it.  What I said is: "I used to wear suspenders all the time as a fashion style, but now, I am wearing them because I have to."  I will soon have to start looking into getting some new pants and getting the old ones taken in a bit.  That really feels good to know I have to do that.

Tomorrow: Legs and Abs......

Day 59: June 14, 2000

I Love Training My Legs!!  

I always hear people say how they hate to train legs, but not me.  Where else can you prove to yourself how strong you really are!!  Although I shy away from doing Squats, my favorite leg exercise is definitely Leg Presses.  Today, I once again was able to push over 475 lbs. and it felt great.  I could really feel the burn.  Coming in a close second on leg exercises is Leg Extensions.  I love to see the separation in my Quads come out as I squeeze out my reps.

Tonight, being I got a late start, I felt as if I was closing the gym, being one of the last people there to finish up their workouts, the time was about 10:45 when I left.  Tomorrow is early morning cardio again.  Lets see if I get up for it.

Day 60: June 15, 2000

Made it!  Got home last night, repacked my gym bag to get ready for this morning, watched a bit of the "Tonight Show," then was off to sleep.  The alarm rang and got up on the first snooze.  Had everything ready and was out the door at 5:20 AM.

One thing is for sure.  Doing my cardio workouts after Leg day is a real killer, but I love the feeling.  The extra burn I feel, especially at the higher intensity is awesome.  And as usual, it really helped wake me up and get me going through the day.

Tonight, I began my hair removal.  Starting with the legs.  Gonna finish the rest over the weekend.  

Day 61: June 16, 2000

Clothes felt so weird brushing against my skin, as opposed to the layer of hair that is usually there.....

Was back to dumbbells today for Upper Body Chest.  Incline Presses and Incline Flyes were the order of the day for chest.  For Shoulders, I went to an old favorite, Overhead Cable Flyes.  If anyone is wondering what they are, I sit in the center of the upright cables and do a fly motion starting just below shoulder level, with hands in the palm up position and bring the handles up overhead to meet at the top.  I keep a slight bend in my elbows through out the movement.  These give a great burn on all three heads of the shoulders, especially the front and side heads.  I finished with front cable raises for a great burn.

Back, Tri's and Bi's. were great too.  I really had my focus throughout all my movements tonight.  

Day 62: June 17, 2000

Had to make today my "Off" day for the week.  Was not able to get to the gym before going to do my Magic at Wendy's today.  Afterwards, we had our daughter's Dance Recital which ran really late.  By the end of it all, I was totally drained.  Will get my cardio in tomorrow, as well as finish the hair removal.

Day 63: June 18, 2000

Happy Father's Day to all today!

A weak cardio workout today by taking a walk on the boardwalk instead of going to the gym.  I learned my lesson and until I get my bike, will keep the cardio workouts in the gym.  Finishing up the hair removal after I finish this update and will follow that with some progress pictures.  Look for them later during Week 10.

Week 9 is now at an end.  The final 3 are upon me.  

Total focus is the goal!!!
